Live2DViewerEX is a tool for viewing Live2D and Spine models. You can import model files in WPK and LPK formats to automatically create the corresponding models. Once loaded, you can interact with them by touching the model to trigger different reactions. You can also export your scenes as images and videos to share with friends and collect reactions.

The app also supports strong customization. Adjust the model’s position, size, rotation, and other changes to match your taste. You can even set a model as a background with a single click.

FAQs
The application won’t start properly
- Install .NET Framework 4.6 or a newer version. If the install fails, reset your system.
- In the Steam library, click Launch and choose Repair.
- Try installing the app in another directory. Some folders (especially certain system locations on C:) may have read/write permission issues.
- Update your graphics driver.
“Startup failed / DESKWND_NOT_FOUND”
- Avoid the Insider Preview OS version, since it isn’t supported.
- Restart your computer.
- Close other wallpaper software or desktop management tools.
- Go to Advanced System Settings → Performance → Visual Effects, then switch to Recommended Settings or Best Appearance.
- Antivirus/security software (including Windows Defender) may block the app. Add the installation folder to the whitelist, or disable the software temporarily.
“Aero Theme Required” error
- This commonly happens on Windows 7. Right-click the desktop → Personalization → choose an Aero theme.
“Connection Failed” / “Connection Error” in the control panel
- Confirm the wallpaper/desktop program is running correctly and that the tray icon is visible (if not, reinstall .NET Framework 4.6).
- In Steam, go to the app → Launch → Repair.
- Disable the network firewall, or related network security protections, and try again.
