How it Works / Getting Started

Indeed Job Search uses the Indeed search engine, which pulls from thousands of company websites and similar resources. To begin, install the app on your mobile device. When you open it, you’ll be asked to choose:

• the country you currently live in
• the country where the app is operating
• or an option to select a different country

Your selection helps Indeed show jobs available in that location.

Next, sign up for an account or log in if you already have one. Then you can proceed in two ways: upload your resume or build an Indeed resume. If you choose to build one, you’ll enter details the app requests, including your name, contact number, address, education, work history, skills, certifications, and licenses. After you finish, you can review the resume created by the app and decide whether you want it to be searchable on Indeed.

The final step is entering the job you’re searching for—such as job titles and job type (full-time, part-time, permanent, fixed term, temporary, OJT). You can also set your preferred work schedule, pay, relocation needs, and whether you’re looking for remote, hybrid, in-person, or temporary work-from-home options. Once complete, you can move on to find your next career opportunity.
