During normal use, Kodi reads content from your hard drive or from local network storage using file-sharing protocols such as SMB.

IMPORTANT: The official Kodi version does not include any built-in content. You’re expected to add your own materials from local or remote storage, DVDs, Blu-rays, or other media you own.
