What is Ripple (XRP)?

How XRP reaches consensus

UNL validators compare their ledger versions through multiple rounds. They then update their versions until 80% of validators agree (a supermajority) on the correct transaction order. Once that shared agreement is reached, each validator updates its ledger to match, and the network finalizes the new state.
