Rubiks Cube Solver Introduction

Rubiks Cube Solver Rubiks Cube Solver is a puzzle tool for cube lovers. Scan all six faces or select colors, then follow step-by-step solution videos with playback speed controls and cube knowledge tutorials.

Rubik’s Cube Solver

Rubiks Cube Solver

Rubik’s Cube Solver is a puzzle helper made for Rubik’s Cube fans. You can scan the cube by taking photos of all six faces with your camera, or you can tap the on-screen color buttons to enter the cube’s current colors. After that, the game finds the solution and shows a matching video for the steps.

You can also control the video anytime—pause it, increase the playback speed, or slow it down—so you can study the moves more carefully and pick up useful cube-solving knowledge. On top of the solution playback, the app includes learning content like videos and tutorials to help you understand the cube better.

Key Features

  • Color picker for manual input: Prefer the “classic” approach? Use the built-in color picker to enter the cube state yourself.
  • Rubiks Cube Solver

  • Interactive 3D cube model: Zoom, pan, rotate/reorient, and even adjust the animation speed to examine the solution in detail.
  • Multilingual support: Works in 20 languages, so you can get help regardless of your native tongue.

Helpful Tips

Before you start, remember two important facts:

  • The center pieces don’t move.
  • Rubiks Cube Solver

  • The cube is solved one layer at a time (not face by face).

Knowing the centers don’t move is crucial. The face with the center white sticker will always stay the white face. You can verify this by rotating any face: the center pieces rotate in place, but they never shift relative to each other. That means you aren’t really trying to “shuffle” all 54 stickers—you’re effectively working with 20 pieces: 8 corners and 12 edges. As long as you’re not mixing things up, each piece will always carry the same sticker pattern.

The second rule (layer-by-layer solving) ties directly into this. For example, the edge piece that contains white + red helps with both the white face and the red face at the same time: when you use it to complete the white face, you’re also progressing toward the red side. The same idea applies to the other edge pieces and the corner pieces that make up the white face. So once you solve the white face, you’ve also completed the first parts of the adjacent faces—together forming the first layer.

With that in mind, the next step is to build a cross—like in the correct example—where the surrounding colors match the center pieces of the same colors. The goal is to align them properly with the center references, not end up with mismatched colors.

If you see grey cubies in the interface, you can ignore them for now. They represent pieces that aren’t needed immediately.

Start With White (Recommended)

In this guide, the crosses are shown as white, not by accident. Try to always begin with white on top so you stay consistent through each stage. If you start with a different face (like green), you can get confused later—especially on the last layer—because your “expected” colors may feel backward compared to most other guides and tutorials.

That said, the exact logic for building the cross depends on your cube’s scramble, so I can’t list a single fixed sequence of moves that will work for every case. Still, it’s a great mental exercise. If you’d rather move on quickly or you’re stuck, you can use the specific move sequence shown in the guide.

Notation (If You’re New)

If you’re wondering about the letters in the step instructions—R, F, and U—they refer to cube faces. Each letter denotes a specific face:

  • U for ...

Note: The guide continues with the full notation explanation and the remaining steps, but the excerpt provided ends here.
