Manor Matters

Manor Matters is a fun, highly addictive match-3 puzzle game. You’ll travel to the mysterious Castlewood Manor, take on thousands of match-3 levels, and help restore the manor to its former glory while uncovering its deepest secrets.

Along the way, the game offers plenty of power-ups and helpful tools to clear obstacles, collect stars, and gradually reveal what’s hidden within the manor. As you progress, you can also decorate your manor, share screenshots of your favorite styles with friends, and earn likes.

Key Features

Turn Your Mansion Into an Exciting Aquarium

A new adventure kicks off with an ocean-themed event. You’ll start customizing the villa and transform it into an aquarium. During the event, you’ll discover various hidden decorative items—a mix of surprises designed for players to enjoy. If you want to purchase these items, you’ll need seashells rather than using stars like before.

Play Levels and Renovate the Mansion

To renovate what you see, you’ll need the yellow star as a key resource. Some restoration can be earned for free, but others require materials. With a wide variety of interior renovations, you’ll spend plenty of time crafting your manor’s look.

Most renovation steps must be completed by clearing a puzzle level to earn a certain amount of stars. The core gameplay is easy to learn and straightforward to pick up.

High-Quality Graphics and Crisp Sound

The game is built to look and feel impressive. Hidden-object details are presented clearly, with vibrant visuals and smooth animations. You’ll get realistic, eye-catching graphics as you explore and decorate.

Audio is also a big part of the atmosphere—sound effects can feel chilling at times—helping bring the manor’s buildings and gardens to life.

Helpful Tips for Manor Matters

  • Use up all your lives before finishing a day’s play session. You’ll receive 20 minutes of unlimited lives, plus another 5 minutes once that time ends.
  • If you’re stuck and getting frustrated, don’t play for at least a week (as noted by players). When you return, you may get unlimited lives for a limited period, along with power-ups and extra moves in match-3 levels.
  • Try doing expeditions and side quests to earn power-ups and coins too.
  • A “hard” label doesn’t always tell the full story. Check the board layout first, even if a level looks easy—breaking your streak can make things tougher.
  • If you have only one move left and you don’t think you’ll succeed, review the board before committing. After your last move, the board hides instantly, so you can’t judge whether gaining +5 extra moves (for 900 coins) would help.
  • In search levels, aim to collect as many yellow studs as possible. They’re slower to appear than before, but you’ll often have enough time to take the one marked with a yellow stud first—usually leading to higher rewards in the progress bar at the top center.
  • Save your unlimited lives rewards until you truly need them—especially if you’ve hit a x2 reward and your energy is running low.
  • When you make matches, try working from the lower part of the board. That can increase the chance that the upper area also forms matches you didn’t plan.

Player Comments

  • One player said they loved the game since launch, but after puzzle changes to matching pieces, levels felt much harder and they missed the original nostalgia. They later reinstalled and were happy to see find-the-objects puzzles returning between match-the-pieces stages.
  • Another review praised the game for having no ads and for offering plenty of ways to earn the stars needed to play. They recommend playing in short bursts—stopping when the match-3 routine starts to feel boring.
  • A player highlighted that some levels are challenging, which they feel keeps the game interesting. As levels rise, the difficulty increases, helping maintain engagement.
  • There’s also a partial comment noting the player is generally happy, and that it could be beneficial if players had the possibility to swap (the comment is cut off).
