FPV Freerider Introduction

FPV Freerider FPV Freerider is a realistic FPV flight simulator for Android. Practice aerobatics, 3D and self-stabilization, use physical controllers, and build/share custom levels with the community.

FPV Freerider

FPV Freerider is a flight simulator designed to help you practice FPV piloting. You can experiment with different flight behaviors—such as aerobatics, 3D, and self-stabilization—so you can sharpen your control technique over time.

FPV Freerider

The game supports a wide range of remote controllers, controller brands, and gamepads. That means you can configure button layouts to feel comfortable and natural for the way you fly. There’s also a level editor, letting you build your own tracks and then share them with the community to collect likes from other players.

It’s currently available for Android, and runs on most devices, offering a highly realistic flight simulation experience.

Key Features

  • Realistic Flight Physics: Experience lifelike flight dynamics to feel what it’s like to fly a racing drone with precision.
  • Multiple Environments: Choose from several locations, each with distinct challenges to improve different parts of your flying.
  • Physical Controller Support: The demo supports physical controllers—highly recommended if you want the most authentic feel.
  • Challenging Gameplay: Realistic handling and control mechanics provide a true-to-life experience that suits both new pilots and experienced racers.
  • Practice and Improve: Use the simulator to train drone skills in a safe virtual setting while refining your technique.

What Makes FPV Freerider Stand Out

Step Into Aerial Adventures

Go on exciting FPV-style flights right from your device. The simulation is designed to deliver the thrill of weaving through different settings—ranging from cityscapes to quiet countryside—so you can enjoy the sensation of flight without leaving the ground. With responsive controls and immersive visuals, the game aims to make aerial flying feel close to the real thing.

Endless Track Exploration

One of the biggest attractions is the variety. You can choose from six different sceneries, or use the track generator to create millions of tracks using procedural generation. That means each session can feel new, with fresh layouts to master—whether you prefer structured courses or want to explore freely.

Customize Your Flying Feel

FPV Freerider

Adjust the experience to match your preferences and skill level. You can tune settings such as:

FPV Freerider

  • Input rates
  • Camera options
  • Physics parameters

Whether you’re flying for the first time or already comfortable with advanced maneuvers, you can dial in the right balance of challenge and enjoyment. There’s also a low-resolution mode option, which can help you target higher frame rates for smoother gameplay on a wider range of devices.

Feel the Real Rush of FPV

FPV Freerider focuses on the sensation of FPV flying using realistic physics and dynamic gameplay. Pull off impressive stunts or thread through tight spaces with accurate control. With features like self-leveling and Acro mode, plus 3D mode for inverted flight, you can push your limits and work through advanced maneuvers.

Changelog

2021-03-26

FPV Freerider

  • Completely rebuilt the internal input system for improved controller support and simpler controller calibration.
  • This change is especially noticeable on Windows. You should no longer need to configure special radio endpoints (example: FrSky Taranis, etc.).
  • If you’re coming from an older Freerider version, you may need to run the Calibrate Controller process again inside the simulator.
  • If you previously used a model with modified endpoints, it’s now recommended to switch back to a standard default model setup.

2019-02-03

  • Updates to the racetrack generator algorithm.
  • Added a new custom settings screen with the ability to fine-tune the expo curve.
  • Deadzone size options in the main menu: large, medium, small, or off.

2018-10-17

FPV Freerider

  • Racetrack Generator: Automatically generates millions of tracks via procedural generation.
  • New Self-Leveling mode: Angle mode with a maximum tilt angle limit.
  • Side-by-Side VR view: Similar to what was previously available in the Android version.
  • Rates display: Rates now show as degrees per second in the custom settings screen.
  • FPV Freerider

  • Adjusted preset rate values.
  • Yaw expo: Expo now applies to yaw as well.
  • Added two additional expo curves.
  • Improved and expanded the Playground map, and made it more efficient.
  • Touch controls: Square-shaped “gimbals” so full stick throw works in all directions.
  • Updated flight sound behavior.
  • Flight mode hotkeys: U / I / O (Self-Leveling / Acro / 3D).
  • Added ground effect simulation.

Player Note

While it may not perfectly match the feel of a real drone, using an RC transmitter as the controller can help you build muscle memory for your flying.
