The Lost Ship Introduction

The Lost Ship Embark on a point-and-click pirate quest in The Lost Ship. Explore an island, save map spots, photograph clues, and solve dozens of puzzles to uncover the truth behind the treasure.

The Lost Ship

The Lost Ship is a fun point-and-click adventure where you search for a treasure map aboard a vanished pirate vessel. Your mission takes you across an island—tracking down remnants left behind by the shipwrecked crew and solving island puzzles to eventually uncover the treasure.

As you explore, you can use a minimap that updates your progress in real time. You can also use your camera to take photos of objects that may hold clues. Throughout the game, you’ll face dozens of puzzles with different difficulty levels, and many solutions depend on information you captured earlier with your camera. Step by step, the pieces come together as you get closer to the truth behind the treasure.

Player Comments

The Lost Ship

  • “Really nice puzzle game.” The main challenge with games like this is getting stuck for hours when there’s an item that could fit anywhere—especially if the map is huge. This game helps by offering optional hints like ‘clue to be used in scene 5’ or ‘unsolved puzzle in scene 13’ when you need them. Minor issue: I ended up receiving the plank with the correct code after I had already guessed part of it from half the plank, and that item stayed in my inventory until the end.
  • “Awesome game.” The point-and-click controls feel reminiscent of Myst, but the puzzles are easier to understand because it’s clearer what each puzzle interaction does. Area 13’s solution was a bit too specific, but it was the only puzzle I struggled with. It wasn’t “easy,” but it was still manageable without hints—just expect patience and a lot of back-and-forth.

  • “Syntaxity and Fire Maple are my speed.” Simple graphics and inventory-based puzzles test your memory without being overly confusing or illogical. You’ll do quite a bit of backtracking if you don’t use fast travel, but the puzzle variety is strong. The art, music, and sound effects are all pleasant.
  • “Another Syntaxity game I really enjoyed.” This one felt shorter and the ending didn’t deliver the same level of thrill as quickly reaching the finish. Update: the free expansion made the ending more satisfying. I had to start over from the beginning, but that also improved overall completeness since it had been a while since I played and some puzzles were trickier than I remembered. Still a game I’d recommend.

Walkthrough of The Lost Ship

  • Open the letter from Uncle Harry and tap the postcard. Then tap the path to continue. You begin at Scene 1.
  • The Lost Ship

  • Go left to Scene 2. Solve the tile puzzle on the left chest to open it. It should resemble an anchor. Take the hatchet from inside.
  • Return to Scene 1. You can go straight to Scene 3, but there’s nothing to do there yet. Instead, use the hatchet to cut through the vines blocking the right path, then head down to Scene 4.
  • Continue straight to Scene 6. Go up the ladder to Scene 9. Pick up the crowbar.
  • Go back down and continue straight to Scene 10, then straight again to Scene 11.
  • Go left to Scene 12 and take some firewood from the pile.
  • Head back to Scene 11 and go right to Scene 13. Examine the carving on the tree and take a photo of it—this is a clue.
  • Return to Scene 1 and go straight to Scene 3. Use the Scene 13 clue to solve the puzzle here, then take the brass key.
  • Go back to Scene 2 and use the brass key to unlock the right chest. Take the brass tablet and flint and steel. Then inspect the brass tablet for another clue.
  • Return to Scene 13 and use the clue from the brass tablet to solve the puzzle there.
  • Go down to Scene 14. Use the crowbar to open the crate and take the amulet.
  • Go back to Scene 6 and enter the cave opening to reach Scene 7. Place the firewood in the fire pit and use the flint and steel to light a fire. Pick up the old bomb and take a photo of the symbols on the wall.
  • Return to Scene 4. Zoom in on the cave door, insert the amulet into the slot, then press the four symbols you photographed at Scene 7.
  • Go through to Scene 5 and pick up the barrel and the stone tablet. (Continue from there.)
