Mothers & Daughters is a classic casual visual-novel experience where you play as Max, a high school graduate who heads to university and sets out to finally lose his virginity. Over the course of the game, you’ll meet a range of women and decide whether to pursue them—sometimes while juggling multiple relationships at once.

To unlock the steamy scenes, you’ll need to manage dating time and steadily grow each woman’s affection. As your affection rises up to 100%, the game triggers the related erotic events.

The game includes multiple difficulty options. As difficulty increases, reaching very high intimacy becomes harder, and hints are turned off, making your decisions more punishing.

Gameplay Overview

This is an adult visual novel set around 18-year-old Max (you can customize his name). After finishing high school and getting into a local college, Max has one major goal left: losing his virginity. Your story takes place in the fictional town of Rockbrough, where Max lives with his parents and attends the local college.

Some college scenes and class-related moments appear in the story, but the plot is not built around fraternity or sorority life.

Day Structure & Scene Selection

Each in-game day is divided into four periods:

• Morning
• Afternoon
• Evening
• Night

For each period, you choose which scenes to play. Most scenes last for a single time period, though some can stretch across multiple. You may also encounter sub-options—for example, exploring the mall.

The women in the game include “Mothers,” and each of them has at least one daughter. Some family relationships are obvious, while others are not.

The “Daughters” come in two age groups: younger (the same age as Max) and older (early to mid-20s). How you behave with one character can affect your standing with others—for instance, a daughter may react negatively if she catches you flirting with her mother.

Free Roam Note

Free roam tasks are removed when you exit free roam.

Romance Choices & Progress Tracking

You choose who to romance. You’re not required to pursue every woman you encounter, and it’s not possible to romance every character in a single playthrough.

The game uses a few systems to track how you’re doing with each love interest. Your choices—whether they come off as good or bad—change these values and can unlock or limit future options.

To start a romantic involvement with a specific character, you’ll need to reach certain stat requirements.

Difficulty Modes

Difficulty is available in three settings:

• Easy
• Normal
• Hard

Difficulty does not change the game’s content—only the path you take to reach the outcomes. On Easy, the threshold for high affinity is lower than on harder modes. A walkthrough hint system is available only on Easy.

Romanceable characters are either the MILFs (the Mothers) or their Daughters.

Saved games from the development preview will not carry over to the full release.

Developer Notes

“Mothers & Daughters” is the developer’s first game. It’s currently being developed as a hobby project, after implementing and getting early features working before spending more time on additional rendering.

• All female characters (except your “vanilla mom”) are love interests.
• Progress with each love interest is tracked using two mechanics:
  • Affinity: a percentage-based value calculated from the points you could have earned with that character. If you want a romance with them, aim for High Affinity.
  • Persona: your character’s vibe with them—either Bad Boy or Nice Guy. Each love interest prefers one style.
• The difficulty system affects only your journey, not the underlying content. On Easy, high-affinity thresholds are easier to hit.
• A walkthrough hint system exists only in Easy mode.

Content Tags & NTR Disclosure

Some love interests have specific tags. If you dislike a tag, you can simply avoid that love interest.

The developer also explains that NTR may appear and will be handled as honestly as possible. It’s specifically tied to you witnessing a sex act between a love interest and another male character, and there may be two-story threads involving NTR.

One love interest, Caprice, becomes strongly jealous if she thinks you’re dating other women or if she feels you’re not fully committed. Her jealousy can lead her to sleep with another male character to provoke you. You can either avoid her (for example, don’t kiss her at the mall) or approach her more carefully.

Another main story thread involves a male character (not the player) blackmailing women for sex. One way to end the blackmail is to film him and use that footage to force him to stop. There are also other solutions besides filming.
