Conclusion

Even if you skip the game’s imposed one-hit knockout move, the core gameplay is described as somewhat straightforward. Although you have a large monster selection, you generally won’t use most of them because only three active monsters are allowed at a time (plus a slot locked to the starter monster), making the “more creatures” premise feel less impactful.

Another criticism is that maneuvering and battles don’t appear to be balanced in a way that changes outcomes much. If you fight opponents matched to your team’s level, you can often sweep them consistently. And if you’re collecting h-scenes, you may end up over-leveled regardless, further reducing challenge.
