Gameplay

The core loop is straightforward. Every time you defeat an enemy, you earn gold and experience points. Use the gold to recruit new units and to strengthen your base defenses, which is essential if you want to survive repeated assaults.

As your experience grows, you unlock the next era. Progressing to later periods matters not only for power, but for staying alive.

When you reach a new era, you can produce three categories of attack units:

• Melee units
• Ranged units
• Cavalry units

At the start—during the prehistoric era—your cavemen are limited to simple gear like sticks and slingshots. Don’t worry: later you’ll be able to field soldiers equipped with more advanced weapons such as machine guns and missile launchers.
