Shadows Over Solomon Falls Introduction
Shadows Over Solomon Falls Step into Solomon Falls as an occult-curious detective. Follow a text-based suspense story to uncover why Lisa Patterson vanished, make key choices, and build intense bonds with surprising characters.
Shadows Over Solomon Falls
Shadows Over Solomon Falls is a casual mystery game with suspense at its core. You play as a detective trying to uncover what happened to Lisa Patterson, who has vanished in the town of Solomon Falls.
The story unfolds through a text-based adventure. Each moment requires choices that push the plot forward while also shaping your attributes and your personal desires. As you face different events and challenges, you’ll slowly uncover what the town is hiding.
Over time, you’ll meet a wide cast of characters and investigate cases together, while the relationships you build can grow emotionally intense. Depending on your desires, you may unlock intimate scenes tied to the relevant characters—leading to a highly charged experience.
Characters
- Your character: Someone who has been fascinated by the occult for a long time. You’re pulled into Solomon Falls by a mysterious letter and quickly realize the situation is far stranger than it looks.
- Lisa Patterson: The missing girl—your reason for coming to town.
- Ray and Grace Patterson: Lisa’s parents.
- Sheriff Jeremiah Drake: The local sheriff, and certainly not friendly.
- Janice Stewart: Your hostile landlady.
- Sean Stewart: Her grandson—possibly more than he seems.
- Lou Perry: Owner of the town diner.
- Mayor Ned Tisdale: The mayor of Solomon Falls.
- Mark Tisdale: His son, Lisa’s boyfriend, and a bit of a jerk. There may be more going on beneath the surface.
- Karl Van Horn: A strange wealthy resident. Why does he wear a gas mask?
- Riley Carpenter: Karl’s assistant—the only person who can understand him when he speaks.
The initial release includes even more characters you can discover and interact with. Additional NPCs are planned and will be added as the game continues. The NPC cast also brings a variety of personalities and sexual preferences.
Game Features
- Mystery with fantasy and paranormal investigation: A moody, witchy atmosphere that feels reminiscent in spirit to certain TV-inspired mystery styles, but still follows its own dark, occult direction.
- Plenty of NPCs: You can interact with many of them—or ignore them—depending on how you want to play.
- Corruption system integrated into the story: It affects outcomes and pacing, and you’ll need to be more careful than in many other games.
- Multiple endings and branching routes: Different choices lead to different outcomes, with several paths that can still converge on the same goals.
- Atmospheric visuals and strong UI: The presentation and interface are well done. The visuals may look a little dated in places, but the overall UI and atmosphere remain a major highlight. There are no animations, yet the writing keeps things engaging.
- Witchy themes: Dark and mysterious occult content, including topics such as magic, supernatural beings, witch hunts and burnings, familiars, ghosts, dreams, and more.
- Varied intimate scenes: You can play as fully straight or fully lesbian, with content for both. Many players also find the middle-ground works well. There’s also a trans-start option.
- Investigation gameplay: Find notes, collect clues, use hints, confront suspects, talk with others about the case, and sometimes get pulled into dangerous situations alone.

Changelog
Word Count Update: The total word count is now over 315,000 words.
New Content
- The cliffhanger from 0.35 is resolved, with the possibility of a “bad end”.
- New scene featuring Amber and Anya.

Tweaks & Bug Fixes
- Bug fixes: A large number of minor issues were corrected—mostly spelling and grammar. Thanks to Shaqarava on the TFGames forum for flagging many of them.
- Fixed an issue with Izabela’s night visit and incorrect dialogue for Arisha when you chose Nicholai in the dream.
- Fixed a problem where the player was forced to kiss Eric. Whoops!
- Fixed a missing picture when investigating Nicholai.
- Fixed the event involving drinking with the deputies at the pub.
- The task to find Lisa should now finally complete.
- Fixed a major leveling bug in thievery where it received an unintended big boost from fitness. This effectively acts as a nerf to thievery as it works currently.
- Discovered that Ray wasn’t giving the key for the motel blackmail route on Saturday. Fixed this!

Player Comments
“Just finished the latest version…” Wow—this game is a real ride. From the very first minute it hooks you and keeps pulling you forward. It proudly carries clear TV inspirations, but it still feels like its own strange, rotten creation. Everything connects in a way that keeps you curious and invested.
When you play, you’re placed right inside the mystery. Whether you choose Rachel or go for the trans start, it genuinely feels like you’re assembling the story piece by piece. You start by investigating a missing girl, and the game slowly peels back layers until both the town and your character change into something you didn’t expect. The narrative sometimes nudges you toward certain moments, but the tone and momentum keep you fully engaged.
