Trench Warfare WW1
Trench Warfare WW1 is a popular real-time strategy game where you step into the shoes of a World War I commander. Lead your forces across the first half of the campaign while the battlefield keeps shifting from moment to moment. To win, you’ll need to deploy infantry, tanks, and artillery in flexible ways—either to seize enemy bunkers or to build defenses that hold back relentless assaults until victory is finally secured.
The game also includes a level simulator. You can design your own maps, publish them to the community, and earn attention—getting more clicks and playtime when other players try your creations.
Campaign Gameplay
The campaign includes 100+ levels, each with tough matchups and a variety of challenges. Pick your side—England, France, Germany, or Belgium—then fight for dominance by capturing enemy trenches. Your objectives revolve around surviving invasions, attacking and occupying enemy bases, and making sure your national flag is clearly visible as you take ground.

When a battle begins, you take command as a high-ranking officer. You’ll organize a squad to either assault the enemy base or defend your own. You’ll also need to manage resources carefully, including how to spend money on everything from weapons to equipment to strengthen your army.
Your forces can include a range of troops, from armed infantry to powerful camel-riding fighters and heavy tanks built for destructive power. The battlefield arsenal is just as varied: rifles, sniper rifles, shotguns, plus cannons and flamethrowers. You can even request help from the air force to soften enemy trenches with devastating bomb or missile strikes.
Because options come with costs, you must use resources wisely. Generally, stronger weapons demand higher spending, so planning is essential. Build a large, capable force without letting enemy numbers overwhelm you.
Each level you clear unlocks additional soldiers and new military weapons, helping you grow an elite army. Upgrade your squad and launch full-scale assaults to defeat every opponent more easily with overwhelming strength.

Player Feedback
- “I really like the trench atmosphere, but it feels like it’s missing one of the most iconic WWI moments: the bayonet charge. Right now, the Somme levels feel strange because units fire at extremely close range. I’d love to see a ‘Charge’ button for infantry. Effect idea: +50% movement speed and -25% defense/health while active. Once units reach the enemy, they should lock into a melee animation. The intent would be a ‘high-risk, high-reward’ tactic that can break a stalemate, at the cost of higher casualties.”
- “Honestly, this might be one of the best mobile games I’ve ever played. The Campaign Mode has so many chapters, and each faction brings its own unique units and ideal tactics…”
