Grand Theft Auto IV Introduction

Grand Theft Auto IV Grand Theft Auto IV brings open-world action to Liberty City with three intertwined stories, crime-driven missions, vehicle chases, and director mode freedom—fight, roam, and unravel conspiracies on Android.

Grand Theft Auto IV

Grand Theft Auto IV is a highly loved open-world action-adventure game. You play as three protagonists, each starting a new chapter in Liberty City. As their stories unfold, the lives of the three characters become tightly linked—pulling them into escalating troubles, dark secrets, and conspiracy-driven situations. Along the way, you’ll witness betrayal, moral collapse, and mounting danger.

Free-roam gameplay lets you drive a wide range of vehicles through the city streets—take in the atmosphere or dive into intense police chases. A standout addition is Director Mode, where you can tweak a variety of settings (including unlimited lives and whether you stay wanted) for a highly unrestricted experience.

How Gameplay Works

Grand Theft Auto IV

Grand Theft Auto IV is an action-adventure game viewed from a third-person perspective. Progress is made through missions—story steps presented as guided scenarios with clear goals.

It’s also possible to have more than one mission active at the same time. Some missions require you to wait for the right moment, additional instructions, or specific events to occur.

Open World

When you’re not doing missions, you can roam the open world freely and take on optional side activities. The setting is the fictional Liberty City, which covers a larger area than many earlier GTA entries.

At the start, the playable area is limited to Bohan, Broker, and Dukes. The remaining islands become available as the story progresses.

Combat, Movement, and Recovery

To deal with enemies, you can use melee attacks, firearms, and explosives. You can also move in multiple ways—run, jump, swim, or travel using vehicles. When you’re driving, there’s an optional first-person view for vehicles.

In fights, you can rely on auto-aim and a cover system to help you respond to threats more effectively.

If you take damage, your health can be restored by:

Grand Theft Auto IV

  • Eating food or drinking items
  • Using medical kits
  • Grand Theft Auto IV

  • Calling paramedics

Wanted Level and Police Pursuits

When you commit crimes, police respond based on the wanted meter shown on the HUD. The meter uses stars to show your current threat level.

As you gain more stars, police become more aggressive, and the area where they actively search expands. The wanted level is capped at six stars.

You can lose police by driving or traveling outside the wanted zone. Once you do, the wanted meter enters cool-down: officers continue the hunt, but the pursuit eventually fades when you’re no longer visible to them.

Cover, Targeting, and Damage

The cover system supports movement between obstacles, firing while protected, aiming freely, and selecting a specific target. You can also aim at individual body parts during combat.

Melee combat includes extra techniques such as:

  • Dodging
  • Blocking
  • Disarming opponents
  • Grand Theft Auto IV

  • Counter-attacking

Body armour helps absorb gunfire and explosive damage, but it gets used up as it protects you.

If your health is fully depleted, the game ends the attempt and you respawn at the nearest hospital.

Single-Player Overview

In single-player, you guide Niko Bellic, an Eastern European war veteran. As the story continues, Niko meets and builds relationships with new characters.

While roaming the world, you can also jump into context-based activities like bowling or darts, either solo or with friends. Other options include a vigilante-style mini-game and in-game television.

Spending time with friends—whether by hanging out, answering calls, or completing their missions—raises their respect. With enough respect, you can unlock favors. For example, Roman (Niko’s cousin) runs a taxi service and can send a cab to take Niko anywhere for free.

Taxis are always available during gameplay, making them a reliable option for quick travel.

Moral Choices, Phone, Internet, and Subway

Throughout the game, you’ll face morality choices that can reshape the story depending on your decisions. Niko also uses a cell phone to contact friends, plan hangouts, and access other core systems.

The phone can also be used to reach online multiplayer mode and to enter cheat codes.

For the in-game internet—where you can send and receive emails and arrange possible dates—Niko can visit internet cafés around the city. The game also includes a subway system, allowing faster travel across parts of the world.

Key Features (Mobile Edition)

A Captivating Narrative on the Go

GTA 4 brings Niko Bellic’s open-world adventures to Android, delivering the intensity and storytelling experience in a mobile-friendly format. You step into Niko’s shoes—an Eastern European veteran who arrives in Liberty City hoping for a fresh start, only to find that leaving the past behind is far from simple. The narrative unfolds through rich conversations and memorable characters, creating a highly immersive ride.

Freedom in an Open-World Playground

Like classic Grand Theft Auto gameplay, you can explore Liberty City’s streets, alleys, and hidden corners on foot or by driving through the city in vehicles designed to feel authentic. You can take part in missions and activities across the sprawling map.
