RogueWeight Introduction
RogueWeight RogueWeight is an adult visual roguelike where Alice explores randomly generated dungeons, scavenges edible items to restore stamina, and battles brutal monster bosses in intense combat.
RogueWeight
RogueWeight is a distinctive adult role-playing visual game where you step into the shoes of the protagonist, Alice. Venture deep into a dangerous dungeon and fight powerful monster bosses in tense, direct combat. The game features detailed anime-inspired pixel art and a control setup designed to let you move around the map freely while searching for random food items to restore stamina.
Expect plenty of combat challenges and creative “devouring” mechanics that make the dungeon run feel addictive—easy to start, hard to stop.
Story Highlights
Hidden in the ruins, Alice must push through a dungeon packed with enormous monsters. The question is simple: will she survive the abyss—or will the creatures end her by devouring her first?
RogueWeight is a short-form roguelike created for the 2024 Gain Jam development competition, finished in just two weeks. You play as Erith, exploring procedurally generated dungeons filled with all kinds of… edible discoveries. As long as you’re willing to risk it, you can eat nearly anything you find inside the dungeon.
Key Features
- Charming visuals: Alice’s animations are especially well made, and she keeps a consistent, polished look even as her character rig handles many different physical transformations.
- Fast-paced strategy: Gameplay revolves around staying in control of your growth while avoiding the downsides of being overly full—so you’re constantly balancing offense, defense, and survival.
- Strong endgame tactics: Once you build enough defensive capability to fight back reliably, you can feel the satisfaction of using “bottleneck tactics” to trap enemies and force them into bad positions.
Gameplay Controls
- Left Mouse Button: Move / Interact / Attack
- Right Mouse Button: Eat
- Mouse Wheel: Zoom
- WASD: Move

- “Consider extending it—or releasing on Steam.” The game is excellent, and the reviewer would definitely pay to buy it.
- “Short but sweet.” The sound effects and character visuals stand out, and the rugged art style fits the “surprise” theme well, though it could go deeper.

- “Delightful roguelike idea.” A roguelike where you can eat absolutely everything—paired with charming art and dialogue.

Updates & Conclusion
The game is now officially renamed “RogueWeight”, replacing the original working title “Grasp Descension.” With the judging period nearing its end, the developer submitted this update—this time for real.
A full version is planned for the future, but for now the team is working on additional projects to broaden their portfolio.
