Homecoming ~Morenatsu Revisited~ Introduction

Homecoming ~Morenatsu Revisited~ Homecoming ~Morenatsu Revisited~ brings you back to your hometown to reconnect with old friends. Enjoy a choice-driven story with branching scenes, deep emotional bonds, and regular updates on Android.

Homecoming ~Morenatsu Revisited~

Homecoming ~Morenatsu Revisited~ is a story-focused casual visual novel where you head back to your hometown to reconnect with old friends. Along the way, you’ll run into different events and make choices that push the narrative forward. As you grow closer to the people you left behind, deeper emotional moments slowly unlock—along with more intimate scenes and animations.

The game includes multiple story paths. Which route you see depends on your relationships with your friends and the decisions you make. In the end, the big question remains: will you truly bring those precious memories back to life?

Updates are ongoing, with new characters and additional story chapters planned to keep the experience fresh and engaging.

Story Overview

In Homecoming ~Morenatsu Revisited~, you play as Hiroyuki Nishimura, a young Japanese snow fox (though you can also imagine the human option if that’s more your preference). Five years after moving away from Minasato to Osaka, Hiroyuki receives an unexpected letter from an old friend inviting him back for one last summer vacation before senior year ends.

There’s just one complication—Hiroyuki hasn’t kept in touch with anyone back home. Even so, he nervously accepts the invitation.

Once you’re in Minasato, you’ll have to face the reality of returning after so long. Will the town welcome you with open arms, or has time taken its toll? Will this summer become another regret, or will it finally show you what makes life worth living?

Player Comments

Revisiting the Project and the Changes

One player shared that they originally helped with the English translation for the earlier project—mainly to fix grammar issues and flag any missed Japanese text. They felt deeply saddened when the project was halted.

They later heard new attempts were made, but each was stopped for different reasons. The most recent attempt they noticed changed Hiroyuki into a fox, removing references to humans due to the writers’ decision and bias, which they didn’t agree with.

How the iOS Version Feels

Eventually, after putting the project out of mind, the same player decided to try the version they found—now apparently released for iOS. They were drawn in by strong reviews and by the fact that Hiro seemed to have an option to restore his species.

They also noticed a major structural shift:

  • Previously, you typically chose who to spend time with each day, which helped move the story along.
  • In this version, you play through almost all of the events that are available.

They said this makes the game significantly longer, but also lets you experience content that might have been missed before. They cleared the Shin route on their first try and received the best ending.

Highlights

  • They praised the updated art.
  • They felt some events—possibly new compared to the original project—help develop the characters further.
  • Homecoming ~Morenatsu Revisited~

  • Overall, they described the experience as impressive and hoped the project would continue growing.

Hope for Completion (Including Future Routes)

Another reviewer said this game was the reason they got into visual novels in the first place. They urged developers not to abandon the game before it’s fully finished.

They mentioned they previously heard that a torahiko route would be added last, but they weren’t sure. They also expressed concern that if the game were canceled before torahiko could be fully implemented, they would be very upset.

They described the wait for a torahiko route that doesn’t end right after the confession as long, and said this version is their last hope.

Request for Release Timing (Build 12)

Homecoming ~Morenatsu Revisited~

One comment specifically asked the developer for an estimate on when Build 12 would be released—requesting at least a month or target timing.

PC Remake to iPhone Port

One player described downloading the remake on PC and feeling their love for the characters return instantly. They enjoyed that the story felt both nostalgic and fresh, and they replayed it more times than they admitted.

They were surprised to learn it was ported to iPhone. They felt the remake benefits carried over well, calling the mobile execution “perfect.” Their only complaint was a small usability detail: their playtime and battery percentage don’t disappear when opening the app—but they called it a minor nitpick the developers likely already know about.

They ended by saying they’re impressed and looking forward to where the port goes next.
