Mistrick is an addictive adult visual novel RPG that keeps you turning pages. You take control of John Blank, a notorious narcissistic criminal, who is suddenly thrown into a strange, unfamiliar realm. Before long, you come face-to-face with your long-dead nemesis—your former archenemy now stands in the way of your freedom. Your mission is clear: figure out how to escape the prison that has trapped you.

Featuring beautiful, vivid 2D hand-drawn art with an anime-inspired look, Mistrick builds tension through its unfolding story. As events escalate, you’ll need to make your own decisions and handle sudden, dangerous situations with care. Expect plenty of bold ideas, as well as complex, mind-bending puzzles that demand attention.

Engaging Storyline

You play as John Blank, a criminal who finds himself trapped in an alternate dimension with no explanation. Not long after arriving, he meets a former cellmate: Chase Colt, a serial killer who has already been executed. Chase insists that John is already dead—but that claim soon becomes an obvious trap, a cruel deception meant to keep John stuck in this world.

The question is whether John can break free, or whether he’ll fall victim to the many dangers hidden throughout this hostile place.

*Mistrick* is a spin-off from my earlier game, *Misfiction*. You can enjoy *Mistrick* fully even if you’ve never played *Misfiction*, since the opening animation in *Mistrick* includes a brief summary of *Misfiction*’s plot. The extra details from *Misfiction* aren’t required to understand *Mistrick*.

If you plan to play *Misfiction* later, I recommend playing *Misfiction* first—or skipping the opening animation of *Mistrick*—because it contains spoilers for *Misfiction*.

Final Words

In Mistrick, you return as John Blank, the villain from the previous game. After being hit and killed by a car, he doesn’t move on—he wakes up trapped in a purgatory-like alternate dimension. And the one holding him there is none other than his old cellmate, Chase Colt.

John wants nothing more than to escape and get his life back. But before he can do that, he has to fight for survival—because this place won’t let him go easily.
