Baldi's Fun New School is a fan-favorite adventure experience that expands on the original with even more activities and fresh content. Expect conveniences such as an improved minimap, an inventory system, and a shop—making the game feel smoother and more comfortable to play.

You’ll enter a strange academy to help Minecraft recover seven missing notebooks. Along the way, you’ll deal with unusual teachers and must learn how to avoid them while you carefully explore the school. To retrieve each notebook and eventually escape, you’ll also need to solve a variety of puzzles.

Characters

Johnny

Johnny is a typical student with average height, speed, and stamina. He’s the first student with balanced movement stats. Compared to other students, Johnny seems taller than Joseph, but smaller than Jake, Kyle, and Rapparep Lol.

In-game description: Johnny is your standard player—steady height and speed, with average stats overall.

Markus

Markus is another student with average stats, similar to Johnny, and he’s also a friend of Jimmy. His look includes tan hair and a dark blue shirt decorated with a glowing star surrounded by circles in different colors.

Notes: Markus first appears in BFNS Ultimate. He’s referenced in the Story Mode of BFNS Ultimate. After clearing story mode, Markus can be seen in the ending. He also appears in Baldi's Fun New School Remastered as an Easter egg ending character, but he is not a playable student.

Jake

Jake is taller than Johnny, but he can’t run as fast, and his stamina drains more slowly. He’s described as the second student, with tall height and slow speed stats. Before updates, Jake’s appearance and rendering details have changed.

  • Favorite color: Cyan
  • Eye color: Green

Previous versions:

  • Before BFNS Remastered V1.1, Jake used a different design and was colored green.
  • Before BFNSR V1.2, the student model was not dithered.

In-game description: Jake is taller than most students, but his movement speed is lower than others.

Joseph

Joseph is shorter than Johnny, but can run faster—though his stamina drops quicker. He’s the third student in Baldi's Fun New School Remastered.

  • Eye color: Blue

Previous versions:

Baldi's Fun New School

  • Before BFNS Remastered V1.1, Joseph used older designs and was colored orange.
  • Before BFNSR V1.2, the model was not dithered.

In-game description: Joseph is smaller than most players, but he can move around faster.

Changelog

A New Look — The Computer Lab!

Baldi's Fun New School

In Beta 1, the Computer Lab is scheduled to receive a refreshed appearance compared to Alpha 6. Planned updates include:

  • Better lighting
  • Sharper textures
  • Small design adjustments to a few objects
  • A new door design in the background of the lab render

The update also includes a more polished look when approaching the Computer Lab’s monitor in Beta 1, with improved contrast (including the “off” render) for easier visibility.

Beyond visuals, the in-game Computer Lab will also improve elements seen in the UI—such as when you create an account, sign in, or delete one. As you explore the Ultimate Fun Schoolhouse, you’ll also see the new door designs in more places than just the Computer Lab.

Open It Up — Redone Doors!

Doors are getting a major update in Beta 1 as well. The biggest change from Alpha 6 to Beta 1 is the visual redesign.

That’s right—the door designs originally introduced in the Alpha 6 2 Floor Demo (and used throughout many entries and updates in the Baldi's Fun New School series, including BFNS Remastered) are finally being revamped for Beta 1.

So far, two redesigned door types are completed:

  • Classroom door
  • Baldi's Fun New School

  • Computer Lab door

Both use a rounded arch shape at the top, include subtle shading on the door texture, and feature matching colored door knobs. While the animations shown for the revised doors are currently placeholders, they’re close enough to the final Beta 1 plans that the updated designs can be revealed now.

Note: Unlike the non-animated static doors from Alpha 6, the Beta 1 versions are built to match the new presentation.
