Path to the Occult is an RPG where you build and expand your own cult. Travel across different towns, convert locals to your heretical beliefs, and collect enough faith to summon the legendary Great Demon. As your influence grows, traditional cults will begin to suppress you—investigating your activities and actively hunting you down.

To keep your movement alive, rely on your charisma and wisdom. Satisfy your followers’ desires to unlock new scenes and animation sequences, then turn that faith into raw power to strengthen your forces. Ready to create the most terrifying evil cult in the game?

Story

Zero sets out to summon a legendary archdemon and establish her own cult.

• With help from demonic power, she converts her followers’ faith and desires into strength, forging an ultimate organization of evil.
• But the most effective way to gather faith and desire turns out to be… fulfilling people’s sexual fantasies.

To expand her reach, Zero travels between towns, adopts outfits that match local culture, and works to recruit followers. Unfortunately for her plans, mainstream religions won’t allow this to continue—obstruction, investigations, and suppression arrive one after another.

Gather Faith and Desire by fulfilling your followers’ fantasies—from intimate rituals to public performances. Each successful act empowers Zero’s demonic abilities and unlocks spells such as:

Strategic Follower Management

Put followers into roles like:

• Temptress Scouts — gather intelligence on rival groups
• Desire Catalysts — intensify faith generation

If you ignore their needs, loyalty can drop—leading to rebellions or even defections to mainstream religions.

Archdemon Pact Progression

Use the faith you’ve collected to strengthen your pact with your patron demon through escalating rituals:

• Early tiers: charm buffs
• Late game: ability to warp reality, such as rewriting a town’s morals to normalize public orgies

Localized Outfit System

Blend into each town using 6+ region-specific outfit sets—such as conservative veils in devout districts or more revealing silks in pleasure hubs.

• Outfits can’t be transferred between regions.
• Wardrobe choices directly affect NPC trust and event triggers.

Faith-Driven Unlocks

Spend Faiths to unlock new cities and elemental abilities (fire/water/etc.). Progression isn’t tied to boss defeats.

Elements also counter specific regions—for example, water magic can dominate desert towns but struggles in volcanic areas. Plan your route carefully.

Dynamic Event Web

Take on quests like:

• Seduce the Mayor
• Sabotage Holy Wells

Some events disappear if bosses stay active. If you skip a boss fight, you may miss profitable storylines—but you’ll also avoid certain crackdowns.

Changelog

Here’s an update on the game’s development progress.

• All Yao events have been completed.
• There are 30 H scenes for Reiko and 7 for Yao, for a total of 37 H scenes at initial release.
• A future update will add even more content.
• It isn’t confirmed yet how many new events will be added, but the update is planned to include at least 6 additional events.

The team has also been revisiting the game’s difficulty. The goal is to let players enjoy the story and finish smoothly—even if the game ends up feeling challenging, or if players mainly want to experience the events.

• Players can continue upgrading their characters as long as they gather enough resources.
• The more H battles you trigger, the faster you’ll grow stronger.

At the same time, player feedback and current gaming trends were considered. This time, the difficulty system will be adjusted so players can choose a difficulty level based on how much time or challenge they want.

Playstyle Options (Modes)

• Non-virgin event (content-focused without sex):

  There hasn’t been a virgin-event design like this before, but some players prefer beating the game without sex. New resource routes have been added outside of combat—some may be nearly as efficient as H attacks. It’s still considered a more challenging approach overall, but it should help reduce repetitive grinding.

• Fast leveling through H events:

  If you enjoy leveling quickly via H events, the experience will feel familiar—similar to the previous two games. By repeatedly taking on various H events, you can earn plenty of resources. In the mid-to-late stages, once your Arousal is high enough, you’ll unlock special skills that help you clear weaker enemies faster or improve stats efficiently. Overall difficulty is about the same as before, and those special skills will be useful for progressing.
