Become a Mining Engineer

When you start Idle Planet Miner, you and your assistant Luna are sent far beyond Earth to work as a resource-mining engineer. Luna tasks you with steering your ship to mine precious metals and minerals from the planets around you. At the beginning, your ship launches into space, where you’ll find many planets that haven’t been discovered yet.

Tap each planet to view its detailed information and learn which resources it can provide. Then land and set up mining and mineral production centers to maximize your earnings right away.

Great Adventure

If you want to mine immediately, you’ll need to invest money—just like real life. While you work, you can watch your galaxy expand over time. The game includes many opportunities to complete special goals and earn valuable rewards. For instance, assigning a manager to 1 planet can grant 20 purple orbs.

Throughout gameplay, natural events may occur—just make sure they don’t pull your attention away so you don’t lose your mining focus.

Upgrades for Mining Ships

To keep up with the galaxy’s growing demand, you’ll need to mine more ore. If you fall behind, you won’t be able to meet planetary needs. As your output rises, so will your income and profit.

You’ll upgrade your mining equipment as your ore yield increases. You can also boost how much ore your ship can carry. Upgrades on each planet depend on three key factors:

• Mining output
• Shipping speed
• Cargo capacity

Higher values in these areas mean more ore mined and faster shipping, helping your operation run more efficiently.

Become a Boss

New planets require both waiting and the right amount of resources before you can start mining there. Once you unlock them, your workload ramps up quickly. To keep things running smoothly, hire more workers—especially managers—to reduce manual effort while increasing productivity and profits.

In real life, changing a person’s last name is complicated, but in Idle Planet Miner you have full control over the names assigned to managers and other characters. Consider giving your managers short, easy-to-remember names.

Crafting Items

Play like a business owner: you can’t leave mined ore sitting in storage forever. For example, creating copper bars requires smelting thousands of copper ores after all required resources are collected from the ground.

When you place items in the furnace, they begin melting to produce new goods automatically—whether or not you personally keep checking. Using this approach increases your chances of finishing tasks on time.
