American Truck Simulator Introduction
American Truck Simulator American Truck Simulator lets you drive your favorite trucks across cities, transport cargo like food and machinery, and master GPS routes. Take jobs, upgrade skills, and deliver safely for bigger rewards.
American Truck Simulator
American Truck Simulator is a distinctive truck-driving game where you can take the wheel of your favorite rig and travel between cities. Haul deliveries, enjoy the views on the road, and experience the day-to-day challenge of life on the highway.
Throughout your runs, you’ll transport a wide range of loads—everything from food and milk to heavy machinery. Choose from multiple truck options to build a style that feels like yours, then push your limits with powerful vehicles on demanding mountain routes and different difficulty settings.
With its engaging, repeatable missions, the game keeps you coming back for more high-energy trucking adventures.
Gameplay Overview

You begin the game as a new hire. As your career progresses, you can work your way up to becoming the owner.
To earn experience and money, you’ll take on freelance jobs. From the home screen, check the market’s list of open positions to review the hiring company’s truck types, route length, estimated travel time, pay, and job descriptions.
After selecting an offer:
- See your route highlighted on the map (left side of the screen).
- Confirm the vehicle assigned to you from the queue.
- Use the built-in satellite GPS to plan and mark your preferred route on the map.
During your career, you can discover new cities, recruitment agencies, and vehicle dealers.
Extra Earnings & Delivery Challenges
You can boost your income by unlocking driver skills and taking on higher-stakes deliveries. Examples include:
- Fragile or hazardous cargo
- High-value items
- Long-distance hauls
- Just-in-time deliveries

If you arrive on schedule and keep the vehicle and goods in top condition, you’ll be rewarded. But arriving late—or showing up with damaged items—can trigger complaints and penalties.
Some tasks also require you to reverse into a garage. This can be tricky since the available space may be tight compared to your truck.
Key Features

Realistic Graphics & Truck Simulation
The game aims to mimic real trucking. With its 3D visuals, you’ll navigate busy roads, detailed building structures, and systems such as traffic signals, fuel stations, and toll locations.
You can switch between different camera angles while driving, including a third-person perspective. This helps you handle large vehicles more confidently and spot obstacles sooner—reducing the chance of accidents.
Drive Through Memorable Highways
A major draw of truck simulators is the road variety, and American Truck Simulator delivers it. Explore routes across the United States and neighboring regions such as Mexico and Canada.
You’ll travel through US highways, bridges, tolls, and hilly areas. Expect snow-covered roads and different weather combinations that add a unique challenge to every trip. Even when conditions are tough, driving these routes can make long sessions feel worthwhile.
Unlock American Trucks & Customization
At first, you’ll deliver cargo using company trucks as a hired driver. After earning enough, you can buy your own American vehicles, including powerful trucks from brands such as:
- Kenworth
- Peterbilt
- Mack
- Volvo
You can also customize your truck in the Truck Simulator USA experience. Modify the engine and body parts so your vehicle stands out from the rest.
