HUNTER×HUNTER is an action game based on Hunter x Hunter. Team up with the main characters and carve out your own adventure as you take on a variety of enemies and monsters. Game Modes

Story Mode

Experience a faithful retelling of the anime arcs, including the Hunter Exam, Yorknew City, Greed Island, and the Chimera Ant saga. Expect dialogue packed with context, along with cinematics for the biggest moments.

PvP Arena

Go head-to-head with other players in ranked matches. Combat relies mostly on player skill, with very little impact from character rarity or upgrade level—so the battlefield stays fair.

Event & Raid Battles

Special events change weekly, bringing rare rewards and limited-time characters. Raid fights often feature extremely dangerous bosses—such as the Royal Guard or adult Gon—and they’re built for coordinated co-op play.

Nen Trials & Training Grounds

These are solo challenges that test your character under special conditions. Clearing them rewards you with Nen Fragments, which are required to evolve your characters.

Key Highlights

• You play as a new member of Gon’s group, letting you experience the manga story more directly.
• Your journey starts in Gon’s village, and not long after, you’ll take part in the Hunter Exam.

How Gameplay Works

The action is split into two phases. First, you handle your character in neutral zones, where you accept missions and interact with other players. Then it’s time to fight. Battles follow the story’s events and play out like intense, cinematic beat ’em ups.

Controls: Move using the on-screen D-pad, and attack using the buttons on the right side of the screen.

Classes & Progression

Your moveset depends on the class you choose at the start. There are six classes, each with distinct abilities: swordsman, assassin, master (similar to a magician), gunman, mechanic, and dancer.

As you advance and level up, you can unlock new abilities. You’ll also obtain equipment to further outfit and strengthen your character.

Player Feedback

• “Really fun.” One player notes it deserved more recognition and compares its tagging/partner-style fighting to mvc2, while praising the wider cast and how many characters feel strong.
• Online concerns. Another comment says the netcode feels rough right now, mentioning improvements after turning V-Sync off and using the training stage. They also criticize the visuals and state that single-player content felt lacking.
