1) Loot Everything

In Hogwarts Legacy, items don’t always get collected automatically—you have to pick them up manually. Try to grab everything you find so you don’t accidentally miss useful gear. Upgrading equipment is one of the main ways to strengthen your character, so searching for potential improvements pays off.

Even if an item doesn’t look that great, it may still be valuable to merchants. Selling gear becomes a strong early-game income source, so don’t ignore it—running short on gold can happen faster than you’d think.

2) Don’t Delete Redundant Items—Sell Them

If your inventory is full, it can be tempting to delete items to free space. It’s fine to remove low-value junk in emergencies, but in most cases it’s better to sell those extras instead. Yes, it’s slightly inconvenient because you’ll need to visit a vendor, but it saves you from making your own life harder later.

3) Increase Your Inventory Space

Inventory management matters. It’s possible to raise the starting carry limit of 20 items, which helps when you’re finding lots of loot but don’t want to return to the shop every time you grab a few pieces of gear.

4) Reset Talents Now

This option wasn’t available at launch, but it’s been added since. Talent resets let you adjust your build without feeling trapped by earlier choices. You can experiment more freely instead of worrying that a few points will be “wasted” on skills you didn’t like later.

Just don’t overdo it—while the reset isn’t extremely costly, it still isn’t free.
