Understand Identities and E.G.O

Limbus Company uses two main gacha systems to help you build your team: Identities and E.G.O.

At the start, you’ll automatically recruit the game’s 12 Sinners, each coming with their default Identity (essentially their baseline personality). These identities define new skill sets and attack options.

E.G.O are equipable items that add an extra battle skill to the character. They are character-specific and can only be equipped in the matching slot: Zayin, Teth, He, Waw, or Aleph. Once equipped, they can be used with any Identity the corresponding character can equip.

Build Cohesive Teams

There are many different Identities and E.G.O to collect and upgrade. For the best results, try building teams around a shared mechanic or damage/status theme. This helps your characters work together more effectively—stacking bonuses and making encounters easier overall.
