Huntdown
Huntdown is a distinctive action-adventure arcade shooter where you step into the boots of a skilled bounty hunter. Take on dangerous missions packed with fast, intense gunfights as you push through corrupted, shadowy city blocks. Choose your hero, hunt down criminals, and work through carefully crafted stages filled with flashy combat moments and unlockable rewards.
Retro arcade style, modern punch
- 16-bit pixel look with retro arcade visuals.
- Hand-drawn 16-bit pixel art and hand-drawn animations.
- Smooth 60 FPS action for responsive movement and fighting.
- Epic synth soundtrack with energetic, arcade-inspired audio.

Play solo or team up. Sprint, jump, and use cover in a neon, graffiti-covered 1980s-style city while you lay down suppressive fire and close in on enemies.
Story that sets the stakes
In a chaotic future, criminal gangs control the streets while the police can’t stop them. Only bounty hunters can restore order—so your job is simple: tear down criminal syndicates and walk away with a fortune.
The city is packed with a variety of 16-bit pixel villains and crime bosses—from savage street punks to organized hockey hooligans—each one guarding their own territory and bringing a different set of weapons to the fight.

Simple moves, lots of variety
The core gameplay stays straightforward: shooting, melee combat, jumping, sliding, throwing, and mixing these actions together. What keeps it fresh is how different the combat encounters feel—weapon types, enemy behaviors, and boss designs all stand out.
- Boxers who fight with shields
- Heavier enemies armed with flamethrowers
- Drunk pilots commanding mech-style machines
- Distinct color themes and identities for each enemy and boss

So while the game borrows the simplicity of classic arcade shooters, it balances that with strong variety in what you face—making fights feel lively rather than repetitive.
Two play modes
- Story Mode: unlimited revives. You can also check boss info for the current level, including map location, criminal record/history, and a short introduction.
- Level Mode: revives cost coins you collect during the map.
Both modes use map checkpoints. In Level Mode, boss characters are determined by the level’s map settings. In Story Mode, you get more context about what’s coming before you enter the fight.
Exclusive bounty hunters
Choose from three legendary hunters:
- Anna Conda: a former commando and weapons specialist—cold, merciless, and ruthless.
- John Sawyer: a special forces police officer who operates beyond the law; a battle-scarred veteran now equipped as a cyborg.
- Lawnmower: a modified reconnaissance robot with forbidden chip software—trading flesh for cash.
Four gangs to take down
- Thug Dolls: savage thugs who overpowered incompetent authorities in gang wars.
- Infamy Hall: organized hockey hooligans skilled in robbery and extortion, plus expert use of explosives.
- Tyrant Bikers: a vicious motorcycle club—rock-and-roll villains who dress in unusual ancient Roman style.
- Number One Suspects: disciplined, organized masterminds who dominate nights through casinos and nightclubs; modern action-game energy with a classic-game vibe.

Performance and presentation
Huntdown’s presentation blends retro arcade homage with polished action design. Each gang’s map layout is recreated with its own atmosphere, so every new area feels meaningfully different.
