KOF '99 Introduction
KOF '99 KOF '99 brings nostalgic arcade street brawls to Android, featuring pixel-art action, combo attacks, super special moves, and selectable enhanced battle states for intense fights.
KOF '99

KOF '99 is an exciting action-adventure fighting game that throws you into a retro street showdown. Step into the shoes of a top-tier fighter and jump straight into pixel-art brawls inspired by classic arcade combat. Pull off old-school combos, unleash powerful super special moves, and switch between a roster of heroes with different abilities. You’ll control your fighter to attack, defend, jump, and dodge with smooth on-screen action visuals.
Engaging Performance

The extra and advanced battle options from The King of Fighters '98 are not included this time. Instead, the game uses a single battle mode that feels similar to the advanced style from the previous title. During fights, you build energy by hitting opponents and executing special moves. Based on the button combinations you use, you can trigger two upgraded states during battle.
Counter Mode
- Boosts your attack power
- Lets you use super special moves without limits
- Enables chaining super special moves through Super Cancel Attack or Move Attack, starting from normal attacks to build longer combos

Armor Mode
- Increases defense so you can take more damage
- Prevents super special moves from being used while Armor Mode is active
After each match, the game calculates a score based on your performance. If your score is high enough, you’ll earn an extra battle after the final boss in Arcade Mode.
The remake of The King of Fighters: Evolution adds three additional stages and two new fighters, both available only as Fighters.
New Fighter Roster
New fighters include: Kyo Kusanagi (outfit), Athena Asamiya (school uniform), Goro Daimon, Billy Kane, Ryuji Yamazaki, Chizuru Kagura, Sho Kirishima, Alfred Elhawk, Vanessa, Seth, Fiorina Jamie, and Guy Tendo.
This title is also compatible with the Neo Geo Pocket Color game The King of Fighters: Heaven's Battle. Points earned in Battle of Heaven can be transferred to The King of Fighters '99: Evolution, helping newly added fighters level up faster.

Fantastic Characteristics
Innovative “Assist System”
KOF '99 introduces a big gameplay upgrade: the Assist System. Instead of the usual 3v3 team format, you select four characters total—three main fighters and one assist fighter. During the match, you can call in your assist to perform quick support attacks, help you link combos, disrupt your opponent, or even turn the tide in critical moments.
This timing-based strategy adds fresh momentum to classic-style fighting, encouraging you to craft balanced teams and take full advantage of combo opportunities.
Graphics, Music, and Battle Atmosphere
Even though it originally launched on PlayStation, KOF '99 delivers impressive graphics and gameplay. Character models look sharp and clear, animations flow smoothly and feel natural, and designs stay stylish and detailed. Each stage features vivid backgrounds paired with high-energy music, creating a tense, thrilling fight atmosphere.

Every fighter also brings their own identity and style—whether it’s Kyo delivering confident strikes, Mai showing off acrobatic flair, or Terry using his classic “Energy Fountain!”
Summary
KOF '99 ACA NEOGEO is another classic fighting title reworked for mobile—and another standout in the series. With a careful retro-inspired port, players can enjoy the franchise’s signature style, depth, and exciting mechanics. At the same time, it meets modern quality standards, making it approachable for younger players too. Overall, it’s a game that suits all ages—so jump in, chase victory, discover new fighters, and enjoy the rush of fast-paced combat.
