In Angry Birds Rio Mod, you’ll guide the lovable birds through an adventure set in Rio de Janeiro. Each level asks you to use smart bird choices to turn the tide—pick the right bird, aim your shot by selecting a direction and launch force, and blast through the scene to destroy as many buildings as possible for higher scores and rewards.

There are 300+ unique levels to play. As you progress, you’ll unlock more birds, each with special abilities that can give you the advantage you need. If you’re a fan of the Angry Birds universe, this one is worth your time.

Story

Rio

On Piggy Island, the Angry Birds are minding their eggs—until a helicopter swoops in and transports them to a hideout in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The kidnapper, Nigel, explains that he’s been capturing birds to sell them for a large sum of money, calling them part of an “exceptionally rare species.”

The birds spot other captured fowl as well, including two macaws: Tyler Blu Gunderson and Jewel. That’s when the flock breaks free and helps liberate the other trapped birds. During the escape, it becomes clear that Blu and Jewel are connected by handcuffs.

The group heads out toward a jungle near the hideout. Furious, Nigel sends his Marmosets to stop them. After pushing through the jungle and defeating the attackers, the birds eventually meet Nigel—defeating him before he escapes.

Next, Rafael guides the crew to Rio’s beach. After battling through the Beach Volley stage and clearing out the Marmosets, they discover Luiz, who removes the handcuffs—separating Blu from Jewel.

With the restraints gone, Jewel takes to the sky… but Nigel kidnaps her again. The remaining birds chase after her. Later, at a carnival, the Angry Birds defeat the Marmosets and find Jewel and other birds hidden near a chicken-like vehicle. Mauro guards it and is defeated by the flock.

Blu tries to free his friend, but Nigel captures him once more. Nigel escapes using the vehicle while the Angry Birds pursue. Eventually, the group reaches an airport where the birds free the caged birds—and also free Blu and Jewel on the plane.

In the final standoff, Nigel attempts to escape. However, he crashes into one of the plane’s propellers, damaging it, and falls into the ocean. The Angry Birds manage to bring the plane back to Piggy Island, where the eggs remain safe as the pigs back off when they spot the aircraft.

Rio 2

Blu and Jewel send a postcard inviting the flock to Rio de Janeiro. The birds agree and get packed into a delivery box headed for the city—only to arrive somewhere completely unexpected (even reaching the moon). After falling back through Earth’s atmosphere, they finally end up near Rio.

Soon, they must deal with waves of Marmosets around the city. The flock reaches a harbor, frees trapped birds and dolphins, but makes a costly mistake by freeing Nigel—revealed to have survived the earlier events. He laughs maniacally before the birds confront him again.

After defeating him on a river and throwing him into the water, the Angry Birds and Blu continue clearing out the remaining Marmosets.

Gameplay

Three bold birds are captured and brought to Rio de Janeiro by a crew of bird criminals. Unlike ordinary cages, nothing can really hold these fierce fowl for long—they break free quickly. To make matters worse, many other birds are also trapped, including the famous macaws from Rio 1 & Rio 2.

From there, your mission is simple: stop the mischievous monkeys from keeping the birds they’ve captured. Plan your moves carefully, solve each puzzle using the classic Angry Birds-style challenges, and take down the criminals and their troublesome helpers.

Along the way, the game introduces new characters and lets you discover unique powers you can use against enemies. Rescue more of your friends by timing your launches and using each bird’s strengths effectively.
