Gameplay
Pokémon UNITE is a multiplayer online battle arena game with cross-platform support. Compared with other mobile MOBAs like Call of Duty Mobile and Arena of Valor, the team-battle flow feels more streamlined—making it approachable for players new to the genre.
Matches are played between two teams of five on a map split into two halves. Each side contains multiple random control points that teams must use to score and secure goals.
As the match progresses in real time, your Pokémon will level up and learn new moves. Every Pokémon also has a unique UNITE move. On the selection screen, you can choose from various Pokémon such as Pikachu, Snorlax, Charizard, and Lucario.
Scoring works differently than type matchup systems: Pokémon quest-style advantages aren’t part of the mechanics here, so battles revolve around a point-based scoring approach. The team with the highest total points wins. To intensify the finish, any goals scored during the last 60 seconds count for double points.
Features
Engaging, High-Impact Action
Pokémon Unite is designed to be highly addictive, letting you test every Pokémon you unlock. Each character brings distinct traits that help you build a balanced team of five. Keep in mind: your opponents will also push hard with their strongest choices—so your decisions matter.
Stay alert during fights. Move quickly to set up ambushes, fight for control of enemy-protected areas, and don’t forget your own base. If you fail to defend, rivals can break in and take over your territory.
The game includes a user-friendly control layout:
- A joystick on the left side of the screen lets you move your team members in any direction.
- Action buttons on the screen let you trigger different attacks and defensive moves.
A Map Built for Team Objectives
The map design draws inspiration from popular MOBAs like MLBB and League of Legends, but with a unique twist: the battlefield has no main lane and no traditional towers. Instead, the environment feels wilder and filled with wild Pokémon locations to explore.
The arena is split into two sides, and each team has five scoring points—matching the team’s five positions. These points act like targets that must be defended. If your opponents get too close, they can score and take the lead.

Unlock More Characters and Abilities
At the start of battle, you begin from your side and work your way toward the opposing team’s goals. Unlike other Pokémon games, Pokémon Unite lets you unlock more fighters so you can use a growing roster to challenge your enemies.
By defeating opponents, you gain experience, level up, and unlock new combat tools. This includes character evolutions. For example, Charmander can evolve into Charmeleon or Charizard, changing form and increasing strength.
Impressive 3D Visuals
The visuals are one of Pokémon Unite’s standout strengths. The game is built on a 3D platform, bringing out detail in both the Pokémon models and the environment. Colors and overall effects blend smoothly to create a polished look, and the presentation captures memorable Pokémon-style moments while keeping gameplay feeling fluid.
5v5 Multiplayer Team Play
Team up and challenge others in strategic 5-on-5 battles. Your success depends on both how well your teammates coordinate and the class and type of Pokémon you choose. In short: teamwork is essential.
