Our Life: Now & Forever is a warm, story-driven experience where you guide a heartfelt life from the earliest days onward. Personalize your character with a custom look, name, and more—then step into a full journey across childhood, adolescence, young adulthood, and the many moments that shape everything.

• Build the protagonist you want

  Choose your first name, last name, and honorifics, plus a nickname. Pick the pronouns you prefer (including multiple options), and you can even define your own set. Shape your appearance like a dress-up doll—adjust skin tone, hair, clothing, and accessories. Even your mom’s look has partial customization so you can share a family resemblance.

• Take life step by step

  Play through four major phases: childhood, teen years, young adulthood, and grown-up life. Expect both highs and lows, along with fears, fun, and plenty of opportunities for self-discovery.

• Live the way you like

  Hundreds of choices let you express your personality and preferences. Over time, those traits show up in the story as people remember who you are. You can also evolve with the years—discover new interests, shift your attitude, and even update pronouns as you go.

• Find friendship, family, and romance

  Golden Grove is full of people to meet: your mom, peers, their parents, teachers, and other acquaintances. It’s your call how you fit into the community. You can grow connections of many kinds—so will the quiet old man you see on the street feel intimidating, or could he become your adopted grandpa?

• Relationships shaped by your choices

  You control how quickly bonds form and how they change over time. Grow closer or drift apart across the years. You can focus on one love interest, enjoy relationships with both, and even choose a polyamorous path. How you feel about the people in your life determines how close you become—there are also no restrictions on which behaviors help others like you.

  This installment delivers a comforting, sentimental story you can replay using new character choices and different relationship styles with the people around you.

Changelog / Demo Update Notes

Because Our Life: Now & Forever won’t launch in its original Fall 2025 window, demo updates will be handled differently from now on.

Normally, updates would be smaller—adding improvements that better round out what’s already in the demo while keeping it (somewhat) demo-sized. This time, the team is going bigger. The goal is to make the demo something you can enjoy for a lot of time, even if that means it feels unusually long.

• Next demo update: Fall 2025



• What it will include:
  • The Step 1 Moment: “Fancy Fun”
  • The rest of the Step 2 prologue (equal to the length of two Moments)
  • The Step 2 Moment: “Assistance”
• Scale: This is about four times the size of a typical demo update—plus an enormous 110,000 words of new content.
• In total: The demo will include two full prologues and four entire Moments. It’s comparable in magnitude to releasing the full Step 1 base version, but the word count is split between Step 1 and Step 2 content.

The team is working continuously on more programming and writing each month. Step 1 is close to finished, but it will still take time to make major progress so Step 2 becomes playable. The developers are looking forward to sharing a bigger picture of the OL2 experience once they can.
