Can I flash an official LineageOS build over an unofficial build?

No. If you’re moving from an unofficial build to an official LineageOS version, you must follow your device’s installation guide exactly. We can’t support alternative install routes.

How do I install the Google apps package after installing and booting LineageOS?

If LineageOS is already booted, you’ll need to perform a factory reset, then sideload the recommended Google apps package, and finally boot LineageOS again. The first boot is when LineageOS completes important system initialization. Adding Google apps after that can cause multiple problems—so they should be installed before the initial boot.

Can I (or should I) relock my bootloader?

Only a small number of devices support this, and even fewer behave correctly afterward. Relocking can potentially make the device unusable, so proceed with caution.
