Are there rules to using the userspace?

Yes. In general, the limit is three edits per day. The goal is to keep Bulbapedia focused on being a complete Pokémon encyclopedia, rather than shifting attention to userspace content. You also can’t edit other users’ pages unless you’re fixing a redlink to prevent it from appearing in Wanted Pages.

Why can’t I make a userpage?

New users aren’t able to create userpages right away. This encourages contributions to the mainspace instead of the userspace. After you make a certain number of mainspace edits and are auto-confirmed, you’ll be able to edit the userspace.

Why was my usertag deleted?

Usertags are often removed when they’re created in the mainspace without admin approval. Typically, usertags should be created in the userspace first and then reviewed by an admin to confirm they’re suitable to be used as a mainspace template.

Can I make games in my userspace?

Games (and some other content) aren’t allowed in the userspace. While they existed in the past, they caused too many edits in the userspace and slowed progress for Bulbapedia.

An admin said I’ve been placed in abuse—why?

Users may edit their userpage up to three times per server day. If you go over the limit, your permission to edit the userspace may be removed.
