Sword Master Story

Sword Master Story is a light, entertaining RPG where you play as the lone Sword Saint. Your journey begins with recruiting companions and pushing deeper through a series of stages filled with monsters and enemies. As you clear levels, you earn valuable rewards and can summon dozens of myth-inspired heroes—along with their legendary gear.

To grow stronger, you’ll build a high-impact squad from a large roster of heroes, equip them with powerful equipment, and keep leveling up to increase your damage output. You can also join or form a guild to defend guild territory and take part in dungeon runs for even greater rewards. Beyond battles, there’s also a calmer side of the game—spending relaxing time in hot springs with your companions.

Gameplay Overview

Characters are grouped by role: Physical, Magic, and Healers.

• Physical characters are further split into melee warriors and ranged archers.
• When an enemy applies physical resistance, both melee and ranged physical users are affected in the same way.
• Enemies may also distinguish between melee resistance and ranged resistance, which can create noticeable performance differences. Some foes even feature special behaviors such as taking extra damage from archers or being weaker against archer attacks.

Healer Combat Rules

Healers cannot deal damage as part of their combat role. While healers can still be equipped and their effects may be influenced by certain mechanics, their “attack power” functions as recovery rather than damage—so they still won’t perform offensive attacks. As a result, if every member falls except for the healer, the battle is still considered defeated (even if the healer remains standing). That said, some healers (for example, Selene) have active skills that can perform exceptional attacks.

Skills and Unlock Levels

Each character has 1 active skill and 4 passive skills.

• The active skill and the first passive are unlocked by default.
• The second passive unlocks at character level 10.
• The third passive unlocks at character level 30.
• The fourth passive unlocks at character level 50.



• All skills can be upgraded up to level 21.

<Cube of Awakening> is required to raise skill levels. However, the ways to obtain this item are limited, so skill upgrades require careful planning and can feel more demanding than raising stats or levels.

You may want to start by catching the ice dragon early and only enhancing skills for essential heroes such as Cain, Lilith, and Yui. After you clear the 361st stage, you can repeatedly farm equipment and supplies by continuing without needing to catch the dragon again.

Stats and Gold

There are five core stats: Attack Power, Defense Power, Stamina, Critical Damage, and Critical Rate. To increase levels, you’ll use <Gold>.

• Gold is generally easier to acquire, making stat/level growth simpler than skill upgrades.
• Still, leveling can cost a lot—so it’s important to manage your spending.
• All stats can be raised up to level 200.
• You can increase stats by +1 level per reincarnation.



• The gold cost keeps rising over time, so you may need to be mindful to avoid wasting resources (the game scale can reach extremely large gold amounts).

Healers can only increase Attack Power, Defense Power, and Health. They do not benefit from Critical Damage or Critical Rate. Also, as mentioned above, healer “attack power” is applied as recovery power, and critical effects don’t apply to healing.

• Daily Events: Participate in daily events and special quests to collect valuable resources and exclusive rewards.

Useful Tips

• Push Through Early Stages: In the beginning, your options are limited. It’s recommended to follow the tutorial and spend time in Adventure Mode to advance. This helps you avoid wasting resources on heroes you won’t use later.
• Upgrade Smartly: Try progressing as far as you can with your current character before starting to invest in upgrades. When you can’t advance further, return to the main menu, unlock additional heroes, and reinforce them.
• Collect Rewards: Start gathering all available rewards whenever you begin to push forward.
