Construction and upgrades take time, so early on it’s often fine to let the process run. However, waiting can become frustrating. If you want to speed things up, use the time lapse option: open your phone or tablet settings, advance the system time forward by the length of your longest building job, then return to the game. When you come back, your scheduled build/upgrade tasks should be finished.

Upgrade Your Construction Company First

There are many upgrades available, but the construction company should be your top priority. As its level increases, you can run more jobs at once. The game may allow up to 16 jobs simultaneously, and while that number sounds like a lot, remember you can manage more than one island—so job capacity becomes even more important. Each upgrade increases your maximum concurrent jobs by four, so keep raising this building.
