  I like this game because it lets me play a slot machine and a Scrabble-style challenge at the same time. The graphics look great—the slot machines feel almost 3-D—and there are many machines to choose from. My main wish is that the Scrabble board were longer, since the space is limited and it’s hard to form very long words. I also feel the cost to get Scrabble letters can be high, and getting letter tiles can take a while unless you use higher spin amounts. Another improvement would be to clearly explain what’s needed to win the board prize. The game shows a warning at the end, but it doesn’t clearly state what you still need to do, and there isn’t anything obvious on screen to help. A dialogue box explaining the remaining steps would make a big difference. Overall, aside from being a bit expensive and slightly confusing, it’s one of my favorite games—great slots, word play, visuals, and features.

To make it harder, after completing the final word for a board, you lose your remaining tiles. I only buy if I still need at least five more words, and I think it would be better if leftover letters carried over to the next board and you received additional letters at the start.

  I spent money to finish my board and continue the journey, but it felt like the next challenges were still asking for more purchased tiles to reach high-point words. I also ran into confusion around “golden word” requirements—I couldn’t find a clear definition of what counts as a golden word. Even after buying tiles that included golden ones, I still wasn’t able to achieve the “mystery golden word.” I’ve enjoyed the game, but it may be time to use up my coins and uninstall.
