Plum

Plum is a personal finance management app. After you create an account and connect it to your bank account, it reviews your financial picture and your income and spending records. It then helps you plan your savings based on the goals you set—such as a 52-week challenge designed to build better saving habits gradually.

If you also want to invest, you can begin in just a few minutes. Choose from thousands of well-known companies, invest whenever you like, and work toward growing your wealth over time.
Security is built in as well. Plum uses multiple identity checks and encryption to help protect your transaction history and account safety, so you can use the service with more confidence.

User Reviews
Review 1: “Hi Cameron—I signed up, started using the app, and I really love the organized layout. The pensions and investment sections are very informative, and I can also view upcoming regular bills, which helps me plan a budget each month. I especially like the ‘save the change’ feature—if you’re not great at saving, it makes it much easier to put away even the smallest amounts. Being able to attach more than one account also makes it accessible and easy to use. Improvements: not much is needed, but it could be helpful to add a payment reminder tracker for bills and subscriptions. It would also be great to have a website version or additional languages, plus a wish list feature for things you want to buy. I’d recommend the app to friends and family, and it’d be good to have a feedback/review section so people can see how popular it is and feel confident about sharing their private information.”
Review 2: “Plum helped me go from not saving at all to actually wanting to save. What began as small amounts—pennies or a few pounds—grew into setting aside payday contributions each month on top of weekly savings. For the last two years, I covered Christmas costs through my Plum savings. This year, I added savings for car repairs/MOT and the gym. Plum is a strong tool for money management, especially if discipline has been difficult. For me it didn’t change overnight—I struggled in my first year with seeing my savings and wanting to spend them—but over time my saving habits became much stronger. You can adjust how you want to save: you can pause when needed, and if you need the money you can withdraw immediately or within the hour at the latest. Overall, it’s an excellent way to manage money and save easily—I highly recommend it.”
Review 3: “This app is very good for saving money. You set it up to decide how much and when money goes in, and it can come out as a direct debit if you choose. You can also add funds whenever you prefer. You can set up features like the 1p challenge, round-ups, and other simple saving options—so it feels effortless. I believe the AER rates are among the best out there. My only concern is that, for many of the accounts you set up—especially those with the best interest rates—the money isn’t always instantly available to withdraw. If you try over the weekend, it may have to wait until Monday, though during the week it’s usually only a couple of hours.”
