What Android devices are supported?

AutoResponder works on devices with Android 7 and above. AutoResponder for WhatsApp also supports Android 6 and up.

Android 15+ note: Android 15+ may hide some notifications marked as sensitive content, which can prevent AutoResponder from reading them. The current handling isn’t fully reliable. If this affects you, you can fix it manually (see the referenced guide).

Android Go devices: Devices running Android 8.1, 9, or 10 with “Go” are NOT supported. These devices often have less than 1 GB of RAM and may not be able to grant notification access. On such devices, you may see a message like “This feature is not available on this device.”

Is there a desktop version of AutoResponder?

No. AutoResponder only runs on a computer using an Android emulator. You can search for an emulator that fits your needs online.

If you want to create rules on your computer, you can connect AutoResponder to Dialogflow.com, or edit the app’s import/export .csv file using Excel.

How do I back up and restore AutoResponder on another device?

• Premium sync: Premium is linked to your Google account. Install AutoResponder on the new device using the same Google account from Google Play, and Premium will automatically restore.
• Rules transfer: Use the import/export option in the top-right corner of the app.
• Backup file location: The exported backup .csv file is stored in /AutoResponder/Backup/. Copy it to the new device and import it there.

Does my device need to stay online for AutoResponder to work?

Yes. AutoResponder can only send and receive messages when your device has an internet connection (this is a technical limitation).

If you’re offline, it’s not a problem—you can still expect AutoResponder to reply to any pending messages once you connect again.
