In co-op, smart class planning matters. You can steer your chosen class in the direction you prefer, but avoid going too narrow—balance tends to work better. Expect 17 distinct zombie types, with threats that grow stronger as the match continues, so your battles become tougher the longer you survive.

Gameplay

At the beginning of SAS: Zombie Assault 4, you’ll pick between three classes: Medic, Assault, and Heavy Infantry. Each class brings its own combat abilities.

• Medic focuses on keeping teammates alive, including healing themselves.
• Heavy Infantry brings heavy-duty weapons for high-impact offense.

These class abilities become especially important in four-player multiplayer. Matches take place in enclosed spaces, where up to four players fight zombies together and timing can mean the difference between victory and defeat.

For solo play, the game offers many single-player levels. You’ll fight dozens of zombie variations and use 100+ weapons, including pistols, machine guns, shotguns, and grenades. That said, the four-player mode is where the action really shines.

Swarming zombies close in as you unleash continuous fire. Across the game you’ll face 17 zombie types, each with distinct attacks and behaviors. Some foes can evolve, unlocking frightening new capabilities as the fight drags on.

Even after you think you’ve cleared the room, a Boss Zombie may appear and hunt you down. It can unleash terrifying assaults—such as acid-based attacks and a high-pressure onslaught in Frenzy Mode.

You’ll progress through seven story-driven maps, each with different win conditions and its own strengths and weaknesses to learn.

Quickly find teammates and squad up with up to three players at similar skill levels. Together, coordinate your custom skills and weapon choices to create a cohesive fighting unit.

Each class—Assault, Medic, and Heavy Gunner—has its own upgrade paths. You can customize each character using 19 skills in their respective trees.

Weapon and armor items come in different tiers. As you climb higher tiers, stronger red versions unlock. You can also attach powerful enhancements to weapons and equipment to improve core attributes such as:
