Ice Scream 4 continues the story from the previous game, bringing fresh enemies, new puzzles, and additional cutscenes. It also adds a free exploration mode so you can roam and discover more around Rod’s factory.

The game includes multiple difficulty settings: Ghost, Easy, Normal, and Hard. As difficulty rises, Rod’s enemies become more alert and move faster, making every escape attempt more intense.

When you get stuck, you can use the hint system. If a puzzle is taking too long, a small hint window can guide you toward the next step—helping you push the story forward without getting permanently blocked.

Story of Ice Scream 4

The events of Ice Scream 4 take place in Rod’s Factory, just like in the earlier chapter. J once gathered everything needed to make the Special Ice Cream—the plan was to make himself obese so Rod would catch him and bring him to the factory. The real goal? Prevent his friends from being sent to the Extraction Room.

In this episode, the player sees that Rod transports J to his factory after a short trip. Feeling proud of himself, Rod sings about how the kids are “so stupid,” then pulls J’s cage—only to find J trapped inside.

Once inside the Quality Control Room, J’s friends are shocked to discover he’s trapped too. Rod delivers a sarcastic speech about how they’ve all “reunited,” and jokes that they can share stories about their “adventures.”

But Rod makes it clear they shouldn’t get comfortable. Since everyone is now obese, he will move them slowly toward the Extraction Room, where he intends to squeeze them until there’s nothing left—potentially turning them into ice cream.

Along the way, players explore locations such as: Quality Control, the Control Room, Offices Area, the Garage, the Warehouse, and a Museum that includes the Museum Office, the Lost Property room, and a Reception area with an Ice Cream Shop.

The game also introduces the idea of the Extraction Room, which becomes central to what happens next.

Bad Ending (2 possible outcomes)

• J is frozen inside Rod’s freezer.
• J is taken to the Extraction Room.

Good Ending

In the good ending, after J frees his friends, Rod hears them cheering and immediately chases everyone. They run through factory tubes that lead to different areas:

• The tube Mike enters takes him to the Engine Room.
• The tube Charlie enters leads him to the Factory Kitchen.
• The tube Lis enters takes her to the Chemistry Wing of the Factory Laboratory.

This is a stealth-based adventure where you must escape while completing actions carefully to avoid being detected by Rod. Your objective isn’t only to get out of captivity, but also to rescue the children Rod has captured.

In Ice Scream 4, you play as the only character capable of slipping out of the cage and helping other kids escape.

Throughout the experience, your special abilities support you while you interact with the environment. Still, you must pay close attention to what’s around you—learning the layout is key to finding a way out and escaping Rod. Even with abilities, you’ll still need to use the right objects to succeed.

Interact With Your Surroundings

The game environment is highly interactive. After escaping, you’ll enter areas you must explore to find your route out of Rod’s factory.

Without a clear plan, it can feel overwhelming—especially because you won’t always know which tools to search for. Many objects can’t be opened using bare hands. For example, you may need to unscrew wooden boards attached with nails or remove screws from certain tunnels to progress.
