Zombie Castaways is an action-adventure game in which you play as a friendly zombie exploring a mysterious island. You’ll expand the landscape by building farms and other structures, then plant crops and fruit. By tending your fields and harvesting on schedule, you earn money that you can use to upgrade your island’s buildings.

As your progress continues, you can meet farm helpers, recruit them, and assign them tasks that boost both productivity and daily living efficiency. Along the way, the story also leans into romance, as the zombie gradually searches for love.

You can freely personalize your island—mix farms, factories, and even recreate famous landmarks and attractions such as the pyramids and the Louvre—to make your island feel truly your own.

Gameplay Overview

At the core of Zombie Castaways is a heartfelt goal: a lovable zombie wants to become human for the person he loves. Join him on this romantic journey as you restore Love Island, clear areas, and grow unusual plants like boneberries and necropumpkins.

Your zombie farm becomes a hub of work and friendship. You’ll encounter adorable helpers such as Amy (the future girlfriend of the zombie protagonist) and Diana Jones (his best friend). Between treasure hunters and cooks, you may even meet the local celebrity, Z. Chief.

Prefer a pirate vibe? Restore a large pirate island featuring a lively tavern and contracts from sea wolves. And unlike strictly guided experiences, this game doesn’t lock you into a single set of missions—so you can shape your own pace and explore the zombie world freely.

Explore Many Islands

Exploration is a major part of the fun. You can visit different islands, each with its own identity and supplies. Locations include Toys Island, City of Humans, Asteroid, and Safari Island. Every island brings fresh challenges and resources to keep things interesting.

Build and Customize Your Home Island

Designing your island is central to gameplay. Choose from a variety of structures—factories, and famous landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and the Egyptian Sphinx—so your island reflects your personal style.

Meet Characters and Interact Socially

The game also includes a social character layer. Interact with favorites like Amy, Z. Chief, and Diana Jones. They can provide quests, challenges, and ongoing support as you progress, helping you connect more deeply with both the story and the community.

Crafting for More Strategy

Use a crafting system to turn materials into tools and items. Gather resources from your farm and from surrounding islands to create what you need. Since your goals can change, you’ll often have to decide what to craft first based on your current situation.

Find Hidden Rewards While You Explore

As you travel, you can discover hidden treasures and resources scattered across the islands. Working with treasure hunters and other characters may lead to valuable rewards that support farming and island development—making thorough exploration especially worthwhile.

Useful Tips

• Don’t rely too heavily on Super Swords. Build wells to boost your tool income. Also, claim your free Bangs and use them carefully.
• Love Island well rule: the first well on Love Island (the one with copper roofing) is infinite. The rest are not.
• Upgrading buildings: tap the hammer icon to check which resources you must deposit. To upgrade, tap the green hammer and wrench icon in the upper-right. Not every building can be upgraded—however, you can still use the building’s base form while the upgrade is in progress.



• Repair ruins: you’ll often uncover ruins during exploration. Repair them the same way you build other structures. These are typically unique spots that provide unique items.
• Assign workers immediately: put Cooks, Wood Cutters, and Stone Miners to work as soon as you land.
• Brain capacity matters: most workers require Brains. You start with 3, and you can watch ads to lease a few more. Don’t hire more workers than your Brain capacity allows.
• Visit the Crypt regularly: collect important resources like metal and access crafting recipes you’ll need for Love Island.
• Treasure hunting: place a Money Box and decorations to unlock treasure hunting. To trade full treasure sets, tap the ellipsis (bottom right), then the book—this will reward you with resources.
