In Botanicula, you take control of the last surviving warriors on a mission to rescue the Spirit Tree. Your team is made up of five plant heroes: Poppy Head, Mr. Feather, Ms. Mushroom, Mr. Twig, and Mr. Lantern. Each one brings their own special talent, and you’ll need to choose the right approach to handle the game’s different landscapes and tricky traps.

The adventure includes 150+ richly designed locations and hundreds of playful animations, bringing the charming personalities of the plant spirits to life. While every scene has its own visual style, the whole game stays consistently beautiful—welcoming for all kinds of players.

Story

The main story is built to pull you in, and even though Amanita Design may not focus on traditional storytelling, Botanicula delivers its atmosphere through its opening moments. The intro sequence sets everything up: a giant spider is trying to devour the Spirit Tree, where the spirits live, and five warriors must set off to stop it.

These warriors are Poppy Head, Mr. Feather, Ms. Mushroom, Mr. Twig, and Mr. Lantern. Their abilities aren’t random:

• Poppy Head is a power-focused character, great for smashing into stubborn objects.
• Mr. Feather can lift off into the air to grab items.
• Ms. Mushroom is flexible and known for strong jumping.
