Flying Tank Introduction

Flying Tank Flying Tank is a co-op multiplayer shooter set in a post-apocalyptic world. Fly upgradeable tanks with bullet time and drones, explore open spaces, and defeat powerful giant bosses to reclaim Earth.

Flying Tank

Flying Tank is a multiplayer cooperative shooter where you and your friends team up to pilot a variety of tanks. Work together to take on an evil giant boss and push back to reclaim Earth. Each tank brings its own standout special ability—such as bullet time and drones—and as you progress, you can upgrade your tanks to unlock even more powers and improvements.

The game is also designed to be comfortable with different input devices. You can play using a gamepad or keyboard, and the controls are adjusted to match your setup.

Gameplay Overview

Flying Tank is an action-packed role-playing experience set in a post-apocalyptic world. Tanks aren’t just ground machines here—through upgrades, they can take to the skies, fly, and bombard enemies from above. It may feel like an aircraft shooter at first glance, but the developer’s twist makes it a completely different experience.

Flying Tank

The combat mixes shooting, fast action, and exploration in an open-world setting. What truly sets it apart is the tank’s 3D flight capability. You can move freely through space, fly high, drop lower, and clear obstacles. This leads to a distinct style of combat where you must constantly think about positioning while you fight.

While you’re flying and moving, keep an eye on threats ahead—before they strike you. Hazards can come in many forms: rocks blocking your path in the air, unusual creatures, and enemy spaceships that try to overwhelm your battleship-tank. At the end of every level, a powerful boss arrives with devastating strength and signature attacks—if you’re not careful, one ability can turn the fight instantly. A smart approach is to play cautiously and hit their weak points rather than rushing blindly.

Weapons

Beliah Autocannon

The Beliah is the first weapon you unlock. It starts off fairly basic: it shoots a single bullet along a mostly straight line. At maximum level, it lets you fire 24 rounds continuously before you hit a 0.5-second reload. With 12 damage per shot, it won’t carry you unless you land most of your hits. The main advantage is that it’s inexpensive to buy and upgrade—so it’s a solid fallback when you’re recovering from a loss. The Ricochet upgrade helps by bouncing projectiles, increasing the weapon’s potential damage.

Flying Tank

Smart Gun

The Smart Gun turns the Beliah’s concept up to the extreme. It supports near-continuous fire with a 0.4-second reload rhythm for every 90 rounds. Its special behavior is that bullets can curve toward targets when enemies are nearby—creating a “bullet-hell” style threat. Unfortunately, each bullet deals very low damage, so even though the shots try to home in, you still need accurate aiming to secure kills. If you use this weapon, consider pairing it with a heavy-hitting option like Seraphim or Flak to increase burst damage. As with the Beliah, Ricochet greatly boosts its overall potential by multiplying what it can do.

Archon Pulse Cannon

Inspired by classic WWII / Cold War-style cannons, the Archon Pulse Cannon fires fast bullets that deal solid damage. However, unlike some weapons you may have seen before, it does not pierce. Instead, it focuses on bounce behavior using a built-in ricochet effect. In the right situation, it can generate massive distributed damage—especially when you shoot toward the back line, causing the bullet to rebound back into enemies fighting in front. Its ricochet performance also improves via its passive bounciness, further increasing damage output.

Flying Tank

Hydra Multicannon

Like the Beliah, the Hydra Multicannon is built around multi-shot fire. Its difference is that it fires multiple bullets at once, but with a slightly longer reload and fewer total volleys. At maximum level, it releases 4 bullets per shot, giving it better vertical coverage than the Beliah. That makes it especially useful against low-profile targets like Crabs, which are notoriously difficult to hit, deal strong damage with both body and projectiles, and often swarm. Since it also doesn’t pierce, it benefits heavily from Ricochet—and because it can bounce up to 4 bullets at a time, the damage potential rises quickly.
