Missing Time Introduction
Missing Time Missing Time is a choice-driven casual mystery game set in your childhood town. Investigate eerie cases, balance secrets vs happiness, and see how your decisions and friendships shape the ending.
Missing Time
Missing Time is a casual game with a surprisingly emotional core and a story that keeps deepening as you play. You return to your hometown and quickly find yourself caught up in a chain of strange incidents—ones the locals seem to have buried for a long time.
As the investigation progresses, more and more familiar faces get pulled into the mystery. You’ll constantly weigh two paths: keep digging for answers, or step away—finish out your final year of high school in peace and try to enjoy what’s left.

The game offers multiple branching story lines. Your decisions during key moments, plus how you relate to your companions, can significantly reshape where the plot goes. Can you uncover the truth—and still secure a happy ending with your friends?
Story Overview
“We all have a little darkness inside of us.”
In small towns, secrets are easy to hide—especially when people in charge choose not to look too closely. Right after you move back to your childhood town, a regrettable series of events drags you into a set of mysterious cases that the community pretends never happened.
Your friends may seem just as clueless as you are… or maybe not. Using only scattered clues and your instincts, you’ll have to piece together what’s missing from each strange case—discovering that the people involved keep expanding to include more and more of those you know.
As time moves forward, you’ll face a choice again and again:
- Stay in the dark—live through your last year of high school and hope everything works out.
- Go full detective—commit to uncovering the truth, even if it means forcing your way through the worst of it.

Missing Time is built around connecting the most important details in your life—so you never miss the moments that can shape (or shatter) the memories you’ll carry with you forever. It leans heavily into story, blending horror and “utsuge” elements for an experience that sticks with you, no matter what you choose.
Characters
Chiharu Ichihara
Your shy, cheerful childhood friend. Even though she was born into comfort, she’s genuinely kind and caring. Because you share a history, your bond feels unusually strong—you can tell she’ll be there for you, just as you’ll be there to support her.
Emiri Onishi
Komachi High’s “Ice Queen” and a dutiful priestess. Since Komachi is built on tradition, Emiri became one of its prominent figures when she inherited her family’s shrine. Quiet and serious, she places responsibility above everything else—above people and above herself.
Shizuyo Onishi
Emiri Onishi’s twin sister. Friendly and mischievous, Shizuyo naturally draws attention—and she seems to enjoy it. In both personality and attitude, she feels like a mirrored version of her sister.

Ember Honoyasei
President of the Occult Club. Loud, outspoken, and stubborn, Ember has a reputation for delinquency despite holding her official role. She’s deeply passionate about the mysteries surrounding Komachi and is determined to expose these cases—no matter what gets in her way.

Player Reactions

- “I just finished one route, and it was incredible. It’s not one of those games where you just enjoy sweet moments with the girl you like. It’s more like you have to struggle to keep her alive while solving a murder mystery. I also loved that a choice you think is minor can end up costing you. And even when you mess up, you can still continue a good chunk of the story instead of only getting a bland ‘bad end.’ If the other routes are like this, it’s amazing. My only complaint is the UI—especially the settings UI—but if you can handle that, be ready for a few headaches.”
- “I played the demo and it’s a great game. I can’t wait for updates that push the story forward with the characters. A walkthrough would be helpful so players can find their way to specific scenes. My favorite character is Ember.”
- “Just finished my first playthrough and got Chiharu’s bad ending… honestly, it was awesome. Definitely worth the money. Quick question—was the game’s original concept inspired by Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni?”
- “I played the free version and ran into bugs that blocked progress. I had to start over and fast-forward through parts to continue. I don’t personally mind, but it could be annoying for others. Maybe those issues are fixed in the full game? I saw an email for bug reports—do you also accept reports for the free version?”
- “The story and characters are really good. I enjoyed it a lot and plan to buy the full version soon. My only complaint is that the ending reveal (spoiler) felt a bit underwhelming—I was expecting something different, but overall I still liked the game. The visuals are amazing, though the CG art style can feel inconsistent, probably because different people drew them. The music is fun and fits well. The writing is strong overall—there were a few moments I really liked…”
