Last Day on Earth: Survival is a post-apocalyptic survival shooter. In the game, you collect resources to build and upgrade your shelter, master different survival skills, and upgrade your weapons so you can hit harder when zombie threats come your way. As you progress, you’ll unlock hundreds of essential items and practical crafting recipes. You can also put together custom all-terrain vehicles, travel through multiple regions, meet survival companions, and keep gathering more supplies to stay alive.

The game includes a multiplayer mode, so you can bring friends along for co-op survival or team up with others by joining guilds to tackle dangers together.

Massive Open World

The world map is packed with 20 locations split across three zones: forests, bunkers, old houses, and military bases. Each zone features its own loot and enemy types.

• Green zones: more relaxed areas
• Yellow zones: harder encounters
• Red zones: extremely dangerous areas with excellent rewards

As the zombie apocalypse escalates, exploring helps you uncover blueprints, rare items, and new challenges.

Base Building and Defense

Building your shelter is a core part of the experience. Start with simple defensive walls, then expand your setup into a proper fortress. You can plan rooms, add storage, place traps, and upgrade your defenses—eventually moving up to metal walls to better resist incoming threats. Each upgrade improves both safety and your feeling of steady progress.

Real-Time Combat System

Different enemies call for different approaches. Your survival depends on timing, weapon choice, and movement. Combat is fast, tactical, and demanding.

You can fight with melee weapons like axes, clubs, and machetes, or use ranged weapons such as rifles, pistols, and bows. The game also supports stealth attacks, letting you sneak up on zombies for quieter takedowns.

Resource Gathering and Crafting

Survival revolves around collecting materials including metal, wood, stone, cloth, and food. Use them to craft tools, weapons, armor, and other supplies that help you endure.

Crafting is explained briefly, and you can create everything from a basic axe to advanced gear like firearms, medical kits, and even vehicles.

What the Game Does Well

Firearms

As you learn and progress, firearms become stronger over time. Pistols, rifles, machine guns, and more are powerful options that deal heavy damage. However, crafting a complete gun or a magazine is difficult—so save those weapons for real emergencies.

Crafting System

The game features a distinctive crafting system. You can create items designed for post-apocalyptic life, but you’ll need to know the correct formulas. Those formulas become available as you level up.

Survival Crafting

Weapon crafting is the top priority. You also need to create clothing and other defensive items. And if you want to survive sudden enemy attacks, you must build a strong base that can hold up under pressure.

Cooperative Play

Some challenges are extremely tough, and success often depends on teamwork. That’s why building new friendships matters—cooperating with others can be the difference between winning and losing.

PvP Battles

People in this harsh world fight even harder. Since resources are limited, sometimes you may have to defend yourself by taking out other players. In Crater City, you can join PvP matches to earn resources for yourself and your loved ones back at your bunker.

Explosives

The deadliest options include weapons of mass destruction such as C4 and mortars. Because there are only a few of these weapons, you’ll need to plan carefully and use them with strategy.

Survival Strategies

Prioritize High-Value Locations

After you build your base, start exploring using the world map. Focus on Alpha Base, Crashed Plane, and Army Supply Drops—they’re among the best places to gather valuable materials.

• Army Supply Drops: mostly give common or mid-tier materials (sometimes helpful items).
• Crashed Plane and Alpha Base: after you obtain an A card, these areas offer a much higher chance of finding military suits and even guns, which provide significantly better protection.

Build Your Base Early

Your base is what keeps your belongings safe from raids and even lighter zombie attacks, so it’s best to build as soon as possible. At the start, a small house big enough for one or two Small Boxes is usually enough—you can expand later.

Make sure to get a Garden Bed and a Raincatcher so you don’t run out of food and water. You’ll receive some cans and water daily, but that may not be enough. Also, fully secure your base with a complete wrap-around and don’t forget to include a door.

Store Unneeded Items in Your Base

You can craft a Ca… and continue preparing—just make sure you keep unnecessary items safely stored back at your base instead of carrying everything around.
