Mine Souls III
Mine Souls III is a casual simulation adventure that throws you into a brand-new world packed with endless opportunities. With flexible controls, you can move your character, interact with objects, gather resources, craft and build, engage in combat, and push onward to survive.
The game uses eye-catching 3D pixel-art style visuals and lets you explore large map areas freely. You’ll also enjoy a distinct physics-based control feel, along with a variety of game modes. Everything is designed to be smooth and responsive, so you can focus on the excitement of sandbox exploration.
Key Features of Mine Souls III
- A mod inspired by Dark Souls that brings a Dark Souls-style HUD.
- Combat and control behavior are adjusted to feel closer to Souls-like games (though it’s not an exact match, since Minecraft wasn’t originally built as a Souls-like experience).
- Early development: the mod is still being balanced, so not everything is perfectly tuned yet.
- Configurable mechanics: many gameplay values can be changed—feel free to tweak settings to match your preferences.
- If the mod isn’t installed on the server, you can still use the Mine Souls HUD, but the combat/control changes will be turned off.
- This mod requires Java 8.
Standout Changes

Attack Rules
- You can only attack when your Attack Bar is full.
- If you’re using a sword and hold down the left mouse button, the game will automatically strike enemies within range once the attack bar is ready.
- When using a sword, you can’t dig blocks that require breaking time—except for normal spider webs (as explained by the mod’s logic above).
Shield Rules

- Blocking with a shield no longer slows you down.
- You can dash while blocking.
- Defensive play works better overall, but it costs stamina (details below).

Core Gameplay Characteristics
New “Stamina” Attribute
- A new Stamina meter has been added.
- Moving, jumping, attacking, and blocking all drain stamina.
- When stamina runs out, recovery takes a short delay—during that time you can’t dash or block.
- Stamina regenerates over time.
- Blocking and hunger slow stamina recovery significantly.
- Shield blocking absorbs all damage that can be blocked, but still consumes stamina.
- If an incoming attack uses more stamina than you can handle, you’ll still take the remaining damage.
New “Calm” Attribute
- Your maximum resilience depends on your total armor value.
- Whenever you take damage, your resilience decreases.
- The resilience loss amount depends on the attack’s strength and type.
- When your balance gauge is empty, you become “shaky”.
- If you avoid damage for a few seconds, your resilience restores back to its maximum value.

Performance & Combat Control Notes
Dodge
- Press the dodge key (default: R, but it can be changed in the control menu) to perform a “dodge”.
- The character quickly moves in the direction you’re currently holding, for a brief moment, and it consumes a large amount of stamina.
- While dodging, you can’t attack, jump, sneak, or change direction.
- During a dodge, you are immune to any blockable damage.
“Staggered” State
- When staggered, you can’t dash or attack, and enemies deal extra damage to you.
- This is generally a bad situation—try to avoid it.
- The stagger duration depends on the damage you received last time (with minimum and maximum limits).
- After the stagger ends, your composure returns fully.
Food and Hunger Updates
- Eating now instantly restores the Hunger Points you gain.
- You can eat even when your health isn’t at maximum.
- If you take parryable damage while eating, your meal is interrupted.
Final Thoughts

Mine Souls III is essentially an ambitious crossover between Dark Souls 3 and Minecraft. This is the Android port, featuring on-screen controls—while still allowing you to play with a gamepad.

It runs smoothly on the S22, though older devices may need further optimization. Please note: this version cannot be saved.
