The Veil

The Veil is a dark-themed casual game where you transfer to a mysterious university and start your sophomore year. You’ll meet new classmates, deal with uneasy looks and strange conversations, and explore both the campus and the surrounding city. Along the way, you may cross paths with companions and get pulled into increasingly bizarre incidents—events that force you to make decisions that move the plot forward and influence other characters’ futures.

As you build your companions’ approval, you begin to realize that what happens around the academy may be controlled behind the scenes. Can you uncover the truth in time—and escape with your friends and survive?

The game is being updated continuously, with new storylines, additional characters, and more steamy animated scenes planned to keep things engaging.

• Be careful: characters who ask too many questions may be removed permanently from the story.

Dynamic Paranoia System

• The game tracks a Suspicion Level based on your behavior.
• At higher suspicion, stalking increases and events may be manipulated (for example, forged documents showing up in your dorm).
• At lower suspicion, you can access hidden groups more deeply.

Multiple Narrative Layers

• You’ll uncover three interconnected mysteries:
  • a cover-up involving a missing student
  • corruption among faculty
  • a secretive society pulling the strings



• Each path can lead to different endings, with 12+ possible outcomes depending on your choices.

Psychological Depth

• The game uses audio-visual effects (like distorted whispers and brief shadows) to heighten paranoia.
• Characters respond in ways that reflect your investigation—some may plant false clues or try to gaslight you to protect secrets.

Version 0.3.7 has been released, intended as the final bug fix for the 0.3 cycle.

Sincere apology: The developer also notes that a recent wave of bugs may have broken immersion or disrupted the story experience, and they’re sorry if glitches interrupted your playthrough.

• Total Bug Purge: Remaining logic issues and script crashes affecting gameplay were addressed.
• Stability Improvements: Background flags were corrected to prevent inconsistent character reactions in certain scenes.
• Flow & Immersion: Transitions and dialogue triggers were refined so the story progresses as intended.

Looking Forward

Everything should now run smoothly. The developer states they’re moving fully to Version 0.4, with no more minor hotfixes—future notifications will be for a major new chapter.
