Early on, it can be confusing—who the key characters are, what happened to the world, and why everything feels so broken. But the game doesn’t rush to clarify. Instead, it feeds you information through short exchanges, small environmental details, and occasional vague hints.

After defeating a boss, you may find yourself pausing—not from fatigue, but because the story has opened a new way to think. While it’s not built around constant shock twists, it can spark emotions like regret, tension, and even a touch of sadness. Rather than forcing heavy dialogue, the game lets those feelings grow naturally in your mind.

Play Story Mode (if you want a smoother combat experience)

Standard combat can be extremely harsh and unforgiving. Enemies deal heavy damage, Yi’s health can drop quickly, boss fights last longer, and frequent deaths can make progress frustrating.

Story Mode reduces the damage Yi takes, making enemy encounters and boss battles more manageable. It also makes exploring the world and following Yi’s journey feel more enjoyable.

However, if you specifically want hard boss fights and plan to win through accurate parry timing, you may prefer not to use Story Mode. In that case, the combat can feel more repetitive and overly simplified.

The Pavilion acts as your home base. Here you can talk with NPCs, find robot vendors, buy upgrades for Yi, and unlock additional utilities to support your journey.
