Art of War is a lighthearted war strategy game where you take command of your own army and push back against a variety of enemies. Recruit strong heroes and troops, tackle new challenges across different levels, and make smart strategic choices—then push your forces past the opponent’s numbers to secure victory and earn valuable rewards.

As you climb the rankings and compete with other players, you can also strengthen your army’s combat power. The game receives ongoing updates that add more levels, new scenarios, and limited-time events—so keep an eye out for what’s next!

Gameplay Guide: Heroes, Troops and Barracks

Checking Units: Heroes / Troops

• Open the main menu and go to the “Heroes / Troops” section to view unit information and stats.
• Tap the icon of the troop you want to inspect—an information window will appear with its details.



• Use the arrow below to browse stats for different levels.
• If a troop has an ability, swipe right to reveal the ability description.
• Example: you can view the Pilgrim skill called “Solar Healing”, including what it does.

Important: The stats shown for troops are displayed per one unit (count). Troops come in two types: single-unit (1 count) and multi-unit (many counts). Multi-unit squads can include up to 9 counts. Attack, HP, and Defense (and troop skills) are shown for each individual unit—so, for example, each single Pilgrim has its own healing that triggers separately from the others.

Heroes and Upgrading

• There are 3 hero rarities: Rare (blue), Epic (violet), and Legendary (orange).
• Legendary heroes gain an extra skill when they reach level 11.
• To upgrade a hero, collect hero cards (also called shards).
• Hero shards can be obtained by opening chests, buying super card packs, or joining special events.
• After collecting enough shards of the same hero, you can upgrade to the next level.
• The first upgrade (to level 2) typically requires 2 identical hero cards.

Troop Upgrading

• To upgrade troops, combine troops of the same kind and the same level (stars).
• Drag and merge matching troops together to perform the upgrade.
• You can do this either on the battlefield or in the barracks.

Barracks and Capacity

• The barracks stores troops you don’t need when your battlefield slots are already full.
• It’s also useful for reorganizing and upgrading troops.



• If your army setup is full, new troops are automatically sent to the barracks.
