Worldle Introduction
Worldle Worldle is a casual geography puzzle where you identify countries by terrain outlines. Make guesses, use distance and direction hints, and solve a fresh challenge daily.
Worldle

Worldle is a casual puzzle game that challenges your geography knowledge and logical thinking. Each round shows the landform outline of a country (or territory), and your job is to identify which place it is. Make your guesses and try to find the correct answer in as few attempts as possible. After every try, the game tells you how far (in kilometers) your guess is from the real location, helping you narrow in faster. New puzzles arrive every day for fresh challenges and fun.
How to play Worldle
Make your first guess
Start by studying the shape and outline of the shown territory. Then select a country from the search form to place your first guess.

Use the hints
If your guess is wrong, you’ll get guidance showing:
- Distance to the hidden country
- Direction indicating where the target is located relative to your guess

Find the mystery country
Keep guessing until you identify the hidden place using the smallest number of attempts. When you finally guess correctly, the correct country will be highlighted in green.
Player comments
“I’ve been playing this game (and others) almost every day for about 3 years, and I’ve had Premium for roughly the last year. The quality has been incredible. The new League feature is a lot of fun, and the new practice mode is a game-changer. My only complaint: in March the game was down for about a week, and I lost my streak—but that’s more of an ego/data issue. Keep it up!”
“I’ve been doing Worldle quizzes for a couple of years, and the app is so convenient and easy to use. It’s a fantastic daily way to learn. It’s helped improve my ability to identify countries and their capitals, and I’ve also learned a lot about the countries themselves. It’s one of my favorite apps—thank you for making it!”
“I like playing this every morning and it really helps my geography skills. The only drawback is that the ads are constant and very intrusive. You can’t keep going until you find the tiny spot to tap to close the ad, and sometimes it still sends you to a link.”
FAQs
When is a new Worldle puzzle available?
A new Worldle puzzle launches every day at 0:00 AM (midnight) based on your device’s local time zone. The game updates automatically, so the new challenge appears when you open the app.

What do the arrows and distances mean?
The arrow shows the direction from your guessed country toward the target country. The distance tells you the separation in kilometers (or miles). For instance, if you guess France and see 2,500km, the correct country is roughly 2,500 kilometers to the east of France.
What is the proximity percentage?
The proximity percentage is another way to represent distance. If your guess is on the opposite side of the world from the answer, you’ll see 0%. If you pick the correct country, you’ll get 100%. This helps you judge how close you are.
Why might the arrow not point perfectly?
The arrow indicates the direction from your guess to the target. However, Worldle uses a limited set of 8 emoji directions (cardinal and intercardinal), so it may not match the exact heading. The game selects the closest arrow option. Also, unlike some poorly made look-alikes, it does not guide you through unintuitive routes like crossing over the north or south pole.
How are distances calculated?
Distances are measured between the centers of your selected country and the target territory. For example, the distance between the United States and Canada may show around 2,260km even though they share a border. This approach simplifies calculations and reflects the target’s overall size.
Why is my data incorrect or outdated?
The team works to keep information accurate and current. They know borders can change, capital cities may move, and maps can become outdated. Any errors are unintentional and not meant as a political statement. Feedback is appreciated, and fixes are made as updates are confirmed.
Conclusion

Worldle tests your geography skills by challenging you to identify a hidden geographic location within six attempts. Developed by SmpleA, the target can be a country, island, or territory. Each guess provides proximity clues, including direction and distance, so you can gradually narrow down the correct area until you find the answer.
