Champion Island Games

Champion Island is a casual, Olympics-inspired game where you take part in seven different sports-style mini-games. To claim victory, you must defeat the champions of each event and collect victory scrolls. When you gather all seven scrolls, you’ll unlock an additional reward.

The island features mini-games such as table tennis, skateboarding, and marathons. Win big rewards along the way, and test your skills against players worldwide on the leaderboard.

Gameplay Controls

Champion Island keeps things simple with just two main controls:

• Movement button
• Action button

When you’re not competing, the action button makes Lucky roll forward, which helps you travel around the island faster. During competitions, that same action button is used to perform the event’s required moves.

Examples by sport:

• Table tennis: use the action button to hit the ball.
• Skateboarding: use the action button to perform tricks while airborne.

Before each match, you’ll receive a quick tutorial explaining how to play and what the controls do. That means you don’t have to memorize different setups for every sport—learning the flow is straightforward.

Useful Tips

Archery

• Head to the northwestern area of the island to start the archery event.
• Lucky will face the Legendary Champion of Archery, Yoichi.
• Yoichi’s dojo is near a small boat village.
• During the challenge, you must shoot moving targets along the riverbank.



• As long as your score is higher than Yoichi’s, you win.

This event is demanding because the targets vary and each one can award different points. Yoichi can rack up points quickly by hitting everything he sees—especially the small red fans worth 50 points and explosives that can hit multiple targets at once. A strong approach is to track his movement and aim for targets that are closest to Yoichi before he reaches them.

Artistic Swimming

• This event is unlike the others: it’s a full rhythm mini-game.
• You’ll dance along to a remixed version of the game’s main theme while facing Legendary Champion Princess Otohime.
• Go to the western portion of the island and enter the water town, where aquatic creatures like Kappas and turtles live.

The mini-game is simple to pick up, and you can use the arrow keys to represent the button inputs. It begins easy, then ramps up speed as the song continues. Keep your hands on the keys and memorize where each one is—expect to lose a few times until the muscle memory clicks. Stay on the beat and you’ll be on your way to victory!

Marathon

• Look to the southeastern part of Champion Island for the beach.
• Challenge a squad of lively Kijimuna spirits in a full-on marathon.

This is one of the more direct mini-games, but it’s also easy to mess up if you get too carried away. The goal is straightforward: outrun the other Kijimuna competitors and cross the finish line first. However, Lucky’s path includes terrain and obstacles, which add difficulty.

Lucky automatically builds speed on the winding sand route and can usually slip past other runners. Still, hazards like crabs and octopuses can block her unexpectedly. By focusing on the obstacles and positioning yourself through the path, this event becomes much easier.

Welcome to the Doodle Champion Island Games! Over the coming weeks, join calico (c)athlete Lucky as she explores Doodle Champion Island—a world packed with seven sport mini-games, legendary opponents, dozens of daring side quests, and a few new (and old ;)) friends.

Her mission is simple: defeat every sport champion to collect all seven sacred scrolls, then take on extra hidden challenges across Champion Island in the purrr-ocess.
