Thirty years after the previous events, you return as a security guard for the reopened Freddy’s Pizzeria. Your job is to keep control of a haunted attraction by managing the building’s systems, watching security feeds, and tracking the unsettling movements of the animatronic figures—including the threat known as Springtrap.

Gameplay

Your mission is simple: survive 5 dangerous nights filled with horror. Those clacking puppets that have been put back together still contain the evil tied to the children from the past. Now they appear in even worse, reconstructed forms—like something brought back from a nightmare.

How do you last in the amusement park before opening day, with no weapon, no soldier-like strength, and no freedom to roam freely?

Basic Rules & Controls

• You must stay seated.
• You can control only one sound system and one camera feed.
• Use the camera to watch for the Animatronics’ behavior and appearances (sometimes they’re hard to spot).



• Use the sound system to broadcast sounds at a chosen volume from different directions around the entertainment area—meant to draw the haunted robot figures away.

Layouts You Must Track

• There are 3 main areas to monitor: the walkway, the main entertainment room, and the ceiling vent system.
• The camera view shows 3 diagram groups representing these zones.
• You need to watch how each zone changes over time so you can understand how they connect—then figure out which monster is closing in.

If you learn how rooms relate to the zones, you’ll be a step ahead—because knowing the map logic is half the battle.

Dealing With Springtrap

If you notice Springtrap approaching, act fast. Use the sound system with the right and to lure Springtrap to move elsewhere. It sounds easy, but it’s easy to mess up—because you must choose the direction that helps you most.

If you use the wrong direction, you may have to manually aim the speaker toward where you’re hiding, effectively turning yourself into bait.

Block Entry Routes With Iron Shutters

Another key requirement in Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 is activating the iron shutters in the air ducts. These shutters help block Springtrap’s entry paths. They won’t stop the threat forever, but the time you gain is crucial—enough to adjust your sound setup and pull Springtrap away.

This is also an escape-style survival challenge. You’ll need to master this process to make it to 6:00 AM.

CHALLENGE AREA: Fazbear’s Fright

The game takes place in the horror attraction called Fazbear’s Fright. Its challenge comes from using what you see and what the systems allow you to do. You monitor a separate camera system for different areas, and you must keep close track of the Animatronics.

You also need to watch the operating system status and correct mistakes as quickly as possible. Keep the Animatronics from breaking in—if you spot the threat and it triggers a jumpscare, the game ends.

DIFFICULTY RAMP: One Night Gets Harder

Across 5 nights, each night brings new challenges and steadily increases difficulty. Eventually you’ll unlock “Nightmare”, the toughest level in the game. It lives up to its name—expect the hardest experience during the final challenge.

During these nights, players may find hidden minigames behind the main gameplay. Try to complete them to unlock everything and claim the associated rewards.

COMPLETE THE NIGHT

Finishing the hardest night grants you a large set of valuable items. After the Nightmare night is completed, you unlock the cheat menu.

The cheat menu includes options that can make the Animatronic stronger—depending on what the player chooses—and cheats can also make nights progress faster.

PREVENTING HAZARDS

After the first night, the rabbit-like threat known as Springtrap becomes a major concern. You’ll need a way to stop it from entering and attacking. Some routes can be sealed off, but you cannot seal the doors and vents of the office.

Instead, rely on the sound system to attract and send it out. In some situations, you may also experience hallucinations, making the situation more confusing by showing you more than one threat.
